Velo City: Duel Atop the Traffic (Heavyarms and Wolfgang vs Duelist and DemiGod)

“Insane? Yes. Awesome? You bet. Certain Death? Hopefully not.” I muttered to myself as I took a few deep breaths. I needed a new fling in life. Flying at high speeds with the wind carrying me was thrilling however, there was more fun to be found in car jumping. No wind, except the stuff rushing at your face, blowing your hair wildly around… “Where the hell are they?” I pondered. I wasn’t just stupid today; I was crazy… Instead of practicing without having two people and a teammate throwing attacks around, I jumped right to just that. A quick look around on the large road sign made it fairly obvious I was early, or my friends weren’t complete idiots. “Five more minutes…” I said, tugging on my boots to pull them off. I wanted to be as light as possible, so I wouldn’t drop like a stone. I was restricting my use of the wind to just attacks, and not to carrying my mass should I fall. With both boots gone, I did a few jumps to stretch my sweaty feet. When that was done I threw my arms into the air and relinquished an angry sigh. “That’s it, I’m going to do this without any extra fun factor.” I shouted, while pulling a small projector out of my pocket. “But incase they do come…” I set the small object on the ground and began to speak in a dignified voice, “Help me Obi Wa— Erm… I went on ahead of you guys. Try and keep up!” I grinned and turned around, teetering on the edge of the road sign. The cars heading into town would come soon… We’d meet up with the cars coming down towards us about halfway through… Traffic would begin in five… four… three… two… I leapt into the air as far as I could, and like magic a small car ripped into view and I very neatly slammed onto the top of it. The smooth cool metal sent a quick shiver down my spin; however, the rush had me on my feet within seconds. Such speed! Nothing I’ve never had before, but atop a car it was an absolute kick! The road sign was slowly shrinking in my line of sight before I snapped to. I began running along the top of the cylinder shaped cars (as they all were, some bigger and slower, some sleeker and more stylish, and some very basic…) leaping into the speeding vehicles, in a mad attempted to stay within sight. Already the jumping was draining… This would be a long ride, and I wouldn’t necessarily disappoint my friends should they show… (OOC: Order of Posts: Heavyarms -> Duelist -> Wolfgang -> DemiGod. Repeat after all four have gone. As with all of my topics, just have fun guys!)

It was so peaceful. It felt like floating on one’s back on a never ending sea of water, bobbing up and down with the small waves, and being taken further away with each passing moment. Drifting away forever in an ethereal darkness, it was paradise. There were no worries, on responsibilities, nothing to care about, only the soothing inky blackness. There was no sound, no wind, no sun, but it was a place of complete calm, without any disturbances. It was surreal, something that could never exist in this world, or only brought to life by the fears of some. It was the absolute perfect place, away from everyone and everything else, pure and utter ecstasy. Just drifting, calmly, slowly, further and further away, nothing else here mattered. This was my idea of paradise, a place of nothingness and eternal calm. If only I could stay here forever, no longer have to deal with the outside world. But, why not? What exactly was stopping me from enjoying this place for all time? No one would miss me, they would all get by. I could just say here. A loud, high pitched beep suddenly invaded my world of calm. It started somewhere in the distance, but with each passing moment came closer and closer. It filled everything, washing away the peace, calm, and tranquility. The darkness reverberated and melted before this onslaught of noise. Everything was falling apart. The top of this seemingly never ending void shattered like glass and rained upon me from every direction. The sea of blackness I had found once to be calm was now in chaos as shards splashed into it and waves suddenly rose to great height. It was utter calamity, as if a hurricane had suddenly swept in when moments before it had been a sunny day. Why was this happening? I didn’t want to leave my paradise, I didn’t want it destroyed. But, it was all falling before me, and there was nothing I could do about. And even worse, that beeping sound never left, it only grew stronger and stronger. I couldn’t even think straight as the sound filled my ears. Where was it coming from? Why wouldn’t it stop? My light brown eyes suddenly shot open, taking in a world of light and life. I let out a long breath and then took an even deeper one. I raised my right arm to rub the sleep from my eyes. The light hurt my eyes after that long nap and for a while I couldn’t see much of anything in front of me. Ever so slowly it all came back into my vision. A grassy field stretched in front of me for as long as I could see and looked to be in a near perfect condition. There were a number of rises adding some variety to the ever stretching mass of green before me. It was quite the contrast from that world of nothingness, a mix of sweet smells and a cacophony of sounds from buzzing insects to singing birds. I was confused for a moment, wondering where I was and how it was I was sucked out of the world of peace. My head was clouded with the passing of sleep which would explain why I couldn’t remember where I was. My thoughts were turned from wondering where I was to trying to find out where that incessant beeping was coming from. I sat up with a groan and turned my head left then right looking for the sound which evaded me. I then turned my head to look behind me, and right above where my head had previously lain was a simple black helmet. I smacked my right hand over my forehead and dragged it down my face while reaching for the helmet with my left hand. The helmet was a part of my Spartan Armor, which I was currently wearing. It was a sleek black suit of armor which covered me from head to toe. Some would think that would make this heavy, but the Spartan Armor was made from a lightweight metal which also contained a bit less rigidness when made into this suit of armor. The nanosuit which was underneath it and fitting to my form perfectly also helped to add to the ease at which I handled wearing it and with the armor on top, it looked more to be a second skin than a suit of armor. I had better stop reminiscing over how useful this suit is and take care of that helmet I thought.

With that, I reached my left gauntleted hand into the helmet and lifted it up towards my head. I grasped one end of the helmet with right hand while letting my left hand slip out to the other side, placing the helmet onto its right place upon my head, and also cutting from view my naturally tanned face. The only thing which the nicely shaped helmet allowed others to see were my eyes by means of a visor like slit in the helmet. The incessant beeping had stopped and a different toned beep sounded as the helmet booted up showing me a number of stats: pulse rate, stamina, muscle strength, environmental controls. I let out as sigh as I muttered Damn helmet and damn dreams. It had taken me long enough but I now remembered that I walked here and decided to have a rest before the planned meeting time. And realized, more importantly, that I was currently late for this planned meeting which was most likely not a good thing. I hated being late, which was why I was almost always punctual. I outstretched both of my arms and let my mouth drop open as I yawned. I imagine I couldn’t be all that late, they could wait for me. I slid my right foot up and bent my knee to place my foot firmly upon the soft mat of grass beneath it while placing my weight on my right hand placed on the grass behind me. I pushed myself up with the aid of my right hand and stood up straight with not even a stray clank from my armor and I stretched my leg muscles. I snapped my right leg forward in a low kick, a slight swishing sound passing for a moment, then moved it up for a mid-torso kick, and finally ended with a rather high spinning heel kick. I let my breathing even as I stood with my right foot just a little ahead of my left. A glint of metal in the tall grass to my left caught my eye. I turned and walked towards it, I only took a couple of steps before I realized it was my spear, Icelently. The shaft was four feet long, gleaming and smooth as the light reflected upon the entirely black metal, and the spearpoint was another foot and a half in length from the shaft, dangerously sharp, enough to skewer anyone in its way. But, there was something special about this spear, two long, sharp strips of metal, 2 feet in length, stretched from the tip of the spear and along the shaft on either side, made for catching blades and also striking piercing blows. This was my newest creation, made within the city of Kir Sa’ath, out of the lightweight and harder than crystal metal called Carenthen. I squatted down, sitting upon my heels, as I grabbed my spear. I stood up, keeping the spear in my right hand, and pointing at the sky, and swerved my head around to take in this lovely place one last time. After this battle, I would return to Kir Sa’ath, and it was back to normal life there.

| No one can run from their responsibilities. I thought with a shrug to myself. I closed my eyes, let my breathing even, and then my pulse quicken. The air shimmered for a moment, but it quickly passed, while lines of clear energy ran over my armor, creating a slight humming sound. My helmet suddenly popped up with another screen, displaying it into my brain so even with my eyes closed I knew what it was, of the coordinates of my destination and the armor’s steady gathering of energy along with the increase of the warping of the air around me. With a sudden flash my body left the current plane I was on. Everything seemed to pass by in a blur of light while it seemed I was simply standing still and energy seemed to shoot off from the walls of this tunnel like realm. This was my means of a interdimensional travel in which time had no meaning, and everything in the outside world stood still while everything here seemed to move past with amazing speed. It was a confusing sight at first, but after the first time it was like any other scenery. There was a sudden jolt, and the blur of light and offshoots of energy suddenly stopped. The world exploded into my vision around me along with all its various sounds. It was as if I was suddenly blind and death and now for the first time managed to experience these wonders. There was a continuous loud humming type sound accompanied by a whoosh along with a number of buildings and lights in the distance. Well, this was where I was told to meet. I looked down to the freeway below and it was then I noticed I was on top of a road sign, which would explain that hum like sound. A small device caught my eye a few feet off and I carefully walked towards it, the clanks of my metal boots upon the road sign only audible to my ears. I crouched as best I could upon the road sign and reached my right hand out to tap the device. A holographic image of Heavyarms suddenly shot forth from the device, and said that he had gone on ahead. I stood up again with a sigh and turned towards a sight in the distance, something rising into the air and then just as quickly falling. That had to be Heavyarms, well I’d catch him soon enough, first I would wait for my partner. I crossed my arms in front of my chest and shook my head. Duelist Alevek, why do you get yourself into these things? I scolded myself. And to think, I never did call myself anything but Duelist in my head these days. --- Yip:Did you like it? I thought I'd check . . . Yip: Sure you do! You'll take it and like it! |)úè£î§±: Too long as usual. |

Caught in free fall was an exhilarating feeling, or so thought Wolfgang. It was a chance to feel the breeze slashing across his face, the almost burn-like sensation as the wind, despite its chilled nature, warmed his skin, his fur, and the suit her wore. Peeling his eyes open, Wolfgang stared with certainty at the quick approaching surface of matted gray. Falling through the air, Wolfgang somersaulted in the air, placing his feet first, his arms trailing up to each side. And before an impact could occur, he rebounded through the air to the left, as though his feet had gained purchase on an invisible object. Dashing through the air almost nonchalantly and without thought, Wolfgang rebounded, his legs muscles working away as he touched down onto each invisible, but very stable, mental projection brought to life by telekinetic prowess. And then, it all came to a stop as he stood idly at the edge of the freeway, watching the blur of vehicles hovering by slash quickly through the air. Raising hackles in the quick approximation of a grin, Wolfgang breathed. Heavily at first, his body seeking to replenish itself after the exertion. It wasn’t long before he was moving again, though, musculature pumping away in frenzied fashion as he dashed, his effort aided by the suit he wore. It was a variation of the 02-115E, a suit that was based originally off the 01-115A (known even more formally as Project Spartan Armor). The suit was a shade of deep blue, with what looked like armored pieces sown on. Chest, thighs, shins, forearms, all armored in this lumpy fashion. It looked fitting on this seven-foot tall wolf-like creature though, that now dashed and jumped from vehicle to vehicle, not caring for the damage it caused. <They’re only humans> Wolfgang thought to himself with a grin, <The weak infidel creatures> Touching down momentarily on a vehicle caused it to begin flip prior to his launch off. Wolfgang loved it, for with each move forward toward the starting point, he was wreaking chaos and destruction. Of course, if he fell off, a vehicle would certainly, and probably exuberantly, defile his existence with the sudden collision of his flesh and three or four thousand pounds of metal moving with the approximate speed of a hundred and twenty kilometers an hour. While 120kph wasn’t all that fast in relative terms, it was twice as fast at the running/loping speed Wolfgang could top himself off at in a maddening sprint. <Wonder what the bastard is> Wolfgang thought to himself, snickering in tune to the squeal of car horns. A holographic display hovering centimeters from his face told him he’d passed the starting point, where a lone figure stood upon a street sign. Back-view sensors indicated him a rival, or rather, a known combatant that was capable. Wolfgang couldn’t keep a sneer from appearing on his lips and he continued his dash forward. Sensors indicated that Heavyarms wasn’t too far ahead, which was good. They also reported that the ‘rival’ was wearing his own 115 (the proper designation for this type of suit by all Albeado Military officers, such as Wolfgang was). His 02-115E had gone through many reiterations since the fight involving 01-115D. That fight hadn’t exactly gone too well, at least not in Wolfgang’s own personal opinion. Of course, to him, nothing ever went too well. Snickering, he plowed forward, keeping a good many of the weapons systems and vital specs for the 02-115E hidden until needed. Wouldn’t do to have anyone knowing exactly how heavily armed he was, nor how ready he felt.

(OoC: Sorry about the wait, this recent move of mine has been wreaking havoc with my free time. I took some initiative with the layout of the highway and city, hope you don't mind Heavyarms.) Sighing to myself I traced a bare finger along the foggy glass before me, following the long trail of the grand 'Velo City Highway' as it spread slowly towards the horizon. A sign of man's growing power over nature, the highway had taken five years to plan and prepare, and another ten to create. It was the first manmade highway to be awarded with the Award for Aesthetic Architectural Magnificence. The award was well deserved. I had heard that this, the Velo Tower, was the best place to view the highway, which spread from the outskirts of Fereh pass, down the valley towards the ocean city. The landscape was perfect for a harbor city like Velo, but the steep, nearly vertical mountain and cliff range surrounding the city itself caused traffic leaving the city to have a slow and arduous journey back and forth along the mountains face. This is where the idea for a highway flowing down the mountain began. Supported by tall beams and steel casings, the highway was a mixture of near vertical slopes and long straight aways more at home in an amusement park than a public road. Yet the architects who designed it, managed to take all angles into consideration, making it one of the safest, if not fastest journeys in and out of the city. I reached out a tentative hand to press the smooth silver button on the elevator. A slight chime followed by a cool female voice told me that I had selected the ground floor as my destination. The Velo Tower sat near the lip of the great highway, giving those perched on top a perfect view of the sleek white of the roads, a view I had been admiring for the last few days since I had received a notice from Duelist. I took a deep breath as the elevator began to fall quickly, This was still the best part. I thought amiably as I held my breath. Halfway down the tall building the sun caught off large round disks placed neatly on the side of the building. The light reflected down the highway slowly, catching on the rooftops of cars and the clean white pavement of the roads. It was a slow trickling of light, flowing down the mountain towards the sea, beautiful and awe inspiring at the same time. --- I just remember I didn't meet an Eskimo like I planned - Heavyarms on his "Things to do in Canada"

"Heh, such romantic notions will get you nowhere," I smiled wryly, lightly tapping the fingers of my gauntleted right hand against my side, anticipation never showed in my face, but my hands never seemed to stop moving. I was still getting used to this armor Hunter had given me. The CeleroVolo system I had installed was created to give me small bursts of speed when needed. While the energy supply was nearly limitless, and the armor, nearly skin tight and weighing no more than the long heavy jacket I usually wore, the protection factor was null. It would do little to protect from direct attacks, meaning I would have to rely on speed and skill more than sheer strength. I took a moment to organize my weapons as the elevator slowed, beginning the final stage of it's descent. My sword Disia was attached neatly on my left side, the long thin blade having saved my life more than once it's simple black leather grip and unadorned blade belying it's underlying ability to redirect the flow of most elements. I had yet to master the ability, but I felt it would be useful in this fight. Seria, I attached to my back, the blade being longer and heavier than it's sister sword. It had been difficult trying to find a comfortable place between the small shoulder outcroppings of my armor, the energy packs which regulated my movement. I had managed to find a place that wouldn't restrict movement, but it had taken longer than I expected. I hoped silently that my delay would not be a problem. As the elevator chimed it's halt I walked out through the small lobby of the tower, nodding to the receptionist. He was an old friend of mine who had been informed of my outing today, and the rason I had been able to spend so many nights admiring the highway. The worry was apparent in his face, creasing his wrinkled brow, he still knew better than to try and stop me.

Pausing, I pushed the lobby doors open, walking out into the sunlight, towards the highway. A powerful wind ran down the mountain as vehicles blurred by my prone body, raising my gauntleted hand I brushed the hair from my eyes, peering down the long road. I could see a figure perched utop a sign a ways down, beyond that the sounds of destruction could be heard. I hoped I wasn't too late, it sounded like the fun had already started. I walked calmly to the edge of the on ramp which paralleled the highway, slowly stepping up onto the cement barrier, feeling the wind blowing at my back. Giving a long sigh I opened my arms for a moment, embracing the feeling of cool wind, the raw power which threatened to lift me off before I was ready. I opened my mouth, letting loose an excited yell before diving off the edge of the ramp. The neural interface of my armor reacted to my movements as I fell, fear giving way to exhilaration as the suit let off a small energy burst, regulating my descent. I angled my body slightly, landing on top of a large semi as it moved quickly through one of the many lanes of traffic. The feel of speed, and roar of wind in my ears set my heart racing. This was magnificent. Diving to the right I jumped from the speeding truck to a smaller RV, the out of place vehicle moving slightly slower down the highway. I watched in awe as cars raced below me, all types and forms of vehicles passed in a blur down the steep roadway. Again the sounds of destruction assaulted my ears, the peaceful chaos of the highway interrupted with the reminder of why I had come. Someone ahead of me was turning this churning grouping of steel and glass into a mass wreck of useless junk. I could already see the pileup along the left lane of traffic, some cars stopping, trying to catch a glimpse of the destruction, while most sped by, happy to leave it behind them. Leaping from the rooftop of the RV I reached out, grabbing the support pole beside the large road sign on which Duelist had perched. Holding lightly I spoke up: "Sorry I'm late, this armor is hell to put on... Looks like the fun has already started, shall we?" That said I glanced at Duelist, his magnificent armor shining brightly next to my simple black suit. Laughing at the contrast I leapt forward, over the next lip, down into the rushing traffic below, rushing from vehicle to vehicle towards the path of destruction. --- I just remember I didn't meet an Eskimo like I planned - Heavyarms on his "Things to do in Canada"

Perfect. They had all arrived just in time! Wolfgang was farther off in his half-wolf state, ripping into the helpless vehicles. They fell down into the churning sea below with huge splashes. I grinned. He was ready for action! As was I, the fire wind reunited! Or shall I say, re-ignited. I couldn’t help but laugh at the bad pun as I used my wind lore to boost my jumping speed. Car after car I landed on causing huge dents into the tops of the vehicles, I might not have been Wolfgang’s size, which was odd, as he was more finesse, and I destruction… “Wooooooolfyyy!” I yelled in a sing-songy falsetto, “Let’s cause these boys a bit o’ trouble, yeah?” I yelled once more, however, this time in a southern Cajun style accent. The cars below me, however, did not agree. They stopped with a quickness I hardly expected, launching me forward into the roof of a huge truck; I made a firm dent into the glass window. “You dirty god damn bastard!” I screamed punching in the window and grabbing the large fat truck driver by the throat. “WHY THE ****ING HELL DID YOU STOP!” I screamed into his trembling being. “Uh… there’s a red light buddy.” He mumbled pointing to the light post behind me. I turned and became annoyed, as this was not something I planned on. Planned on or not, this was an excellent opportunity to begin the fighting. “Oh. Thanks.” I said, tossing him behind me and down into the sea. His screams fading as he fell to his death. With that I drew Anemone, the essence of wind, and leapt over the truck gracefully, the air tracing itself as a black line as I cut through the mass of a vehicle, and upon landing on the next car it fell down to join its driver. Not far away Duelist and Demi stood, waiting. With the cars stopped, this would be the time for an opening move. I simply crossed my arms and nodded. “It seems I hadn’t planned on the stop lights, this being a freaking freeway.” I mused, “However, it does add a touch of control to an otherwise non-controlled fight.” I raised my right hand above my head as it began to draw in some electricity. And almost as suddenly I slammed it into the vehicle I was on, it merely careened off onto the next car, were yet again it bounced, from car to car, until it was near the signpost Duelist and Demi stood atop. With a sly gesture of my hand it turned slamming into the sign causing a lovely lightshow as it began to surge with electricity, and sink, lower and lower… “Wolfgang! Pincer attack!” I screamed dashing forward, Anemone drawn… (OOC: From this point onwards, as to accommodate close up combat, Cars will start and stop, every three posts from me. Example: I will post two more times, on my third post, the cars will begin to move again. After they begin moving again, after another two posts, they will stop. This will add to some strategy, as when they stop you could go flying, and when they start up you may miss an important jump, or face plant into a vehicle. Plan your moves out wisely! ^_^)

The offensive sounds continually assaulted my ears from my view upon the sign post. It was a constant occurrence, the vehicles speeding by with the accompanied whooshing sound, the assault of horns, yells, and even a few curses, without an end in sight. Everyone seemed to be in rush to get wherever they were going, even if the destination required no need for swift arrival. All those in their vehicles were only concerned with getting where they had to go, and most anyone else on the road was an accompanying nuisance. It was a semi-controlled chaos, vehicles always moving onwards, some trying to pass another to zip back within their lane. What entity could fathom the reason for this perpetual state of hurry was beyond me. I only knew that all those below me looked to be in a hurry, and if anything got in there way, they would feel sorry for that much. It was almost a sad sight to see. The chaos now, though, was spiraling out of control. There were constant screeches as vehicles tried to halt before colliding with another vehicle. Trucks side-winded out of control, cars met with the large recently made barrier with a loud crunching of metal. Horns were sounding even louder than before with much more urgency, as if that would somehow reverse the crashing and chaos which had taken place. I could even see vehicle or two lift into the air while futilely trying to avoid the wreck which was placed in their way. Heavyarms had started quite a mess, but some of these vehicles manage to rush on, ignoring the plight of those poor souls. But, then, some of them met up with a large seven foot tall, muscular, figure, which my sensors displayed to me, crashing onto vehicle after vehicle with disregard for the lives of those occupying them. I could even spot the flickering orange glow of flames dancing upon some of the mangled vehicles. I hated that so many lives had to be taken for the sport of a few others. Their lives had just as much meaning as mine, and that they had to be taken because of the events I participated in, was a sickening feeling. The wolf like figure smashing through the traffic was a familiar adversary. I had faced him twice before, both times being a costly venture due to the injuries I had sustained, and I found him to be a worthy opponent. He was also intelligent and cunning, with the ability to make a good ally. It was a shame we were usually too busy testing our strengths to venture into such grounds as becoming allies. I would imagine there would be time for that on another occasion. Seeing the armor which he wore though reminded me of the near second skin I wore now. I had become so used to it, that at times I simply dismissed the fact that I even wore it. It was a finely tuned weapon though, and one I used without second thought. The first test against that alien being, an ironic term for me to use considering my heritage, had proven informative. Now, my suit was left me more mobility than before and had a few more hidden dangers. Though, I was hoping to test them against Heavyarms, a man whose skills I respected and wished for a chance to see them used.

Looking over this chaos, pollution of noises, and destruction, reminded me of how unaccustomed I was to cities. I wasn’t at all fond of the ever present noises, the mass of people, many of which lacked common courtesy, and the mix of smells which a city presented. I rather enjoyed some place quiet, the countryside, a lake, a small town, anywhere which didn’t have so many distractions. Maybe that was the reason I used to wander around so much. Either way, I had come to dislike places such as this, even if I now found myself living within one. No matter how much I disliked being in them, I could not ignore the fact of the easy means of communication and travel they usually provided. <Object approaching at a speed of approximately 20 kilometers per hour from below> The computerized voice of my armor took me from my brooding thoughts and my attention was focused upon a small window in the upper left hand corner of the scanners. The object which was approaching was obviously of human form and upon closer inspection by aid of the scanners; it appeared to be none other than my partner. The black suit he had on was a new addition, and it also seemed to be the reason for a slower than normal freefall. It took a matter of moments before he was within a close range to where I stood and had grasped onto the unwelcoming metal of the signpost. With a few words of apology, he was off into the fray and destruction. I almost laughed at the generally nonchalant nature of DemiGod even in the midst of chaos. It was best that I followed him and joined in this fight. < Careening vehicle approaching set for impact upon the foundation of your current location. Relocation is advisable.> I called for the cause of the cars sudden loss of control in the midst of stopped traffic and was fed back a screen of Heavyarms sending mass amounts of energy into the vehicle which sent it spiraling in my direction. I shrugged at the odd plan of attack and switched the armor’s mode with a thought. < Switch to flight regulation mode. All weapons are within their proper locations, .357 Vulcans are in compact mode. Activating micro energy devices.> The whole of my armor hummed and took on a float glow to its black surface as a number of small devices set underneath the layers of armor came to life. They were small anti-gravity type devices aimed to allow the armor to float and move through the air effortlessly from a combination of my own energy and the armor’s battery without the need for my transformed state. Three strips of metal upon the lower back area of my armor, whirred lifted a few inches from the armor while two of the strips of metal spread out like wings. By the time the car smashed into the signpost with a loud crash and the shattering of glass along with a nasty bout of electricity to send through the sign post, I was floating a foot above the conducting metal. I put my focus to Icelently, a slight nuisance at this point without a need for its use, and decided it was best to put it away until I had need for it. The spear hummed and its surface which looked to suck away the light, now looked more akin to some kind of holy beacon of light. The spear winked out into a small ball of energy. The palm device upon my right hand opened up and sucked in the black ball of safe keeping. Now, that was taken care of, I could move towards the battle. With effort and the aid of experience, I turned my body horizontal to make my flight easier. There was a sudden roar as my hover boots came to life and propelled my body forward with determined speed. <All vitals normal. Battery use at 10 %.> I was glad that the newly installed flight regulation mode proved to be working as intended. I kept a close eye on the video feed of DemiGod’s position as I floated as best I could above him as he veered through traffic. It was about time we took the battle to those two and made sure that it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. It was a shame all these lives would be put as risk to do so.

<The game is afoot!> Wolfgang thought for a moment, jaws parting as he leapt form vehicle to vehicle. Thought his mass and weight were quite massive, he had yet to flip any vehicles around too much. <Don’t want to cause any major roadblocks, at least, not yet> The sensors scan showed that Heavyarms was off running toward Duelist, and had sent a vehicle flying right at him. <Hey, that’s my bit!> It was time to take control, or at least assemble the pieces of the puzzle that would give him at least enough control over movement to be useful. Wolfgang’s eyes flashed as he suddenly changed direction, running back the way he came, using vehicles left and right as walls to hop along, that was until they all stopped, sending him careening through the air, arms and legs flailing. And just before he could impact headfirst with a car, Wolfgang tucked his arms in before his head so that his forearms took the brunt of the shock as he rolled along the small hovering car. He came to an abrupt standing position on the tail of the car, filled with the glorious yells of the two occupants screaming at him to get off their vehicle. That is, they were screaming at him until he dropped to his haunches and looked in with his wolf-like face at the two humans, who screamed at the feral grin spreading across Wolfgang’s features. <I’ve got the perfect use for you two> he thought upon looking at the two. Wolfgang jumped into the air momentarily, pulling his legs up to his chest just as he reached the apex of his leap, and as he came back down, he extended his legs in a rush. The force caused the front end of the car to flip up as the backend became crushed into the pavement. Wolfgang fell flat on his face as the car began to flip through the air. Glancing up, he sent a telekinetic blast into it, forcing it to careen end over end in rotation faster and farther than it normally would, right toward where Duelist would now be hovering after evading his first flying vehicle. <Always knew those cars got good mileage, but never thought it included air miles> Wolfgang thought in a smirk, before jumping to his feet, setting his scanners to begin looking for the other opponent who was most likely winding his way through and around traffic to get to Wolfgang. <Where is the little runt, anyway?> he thought, casting his sensors in and around the vehicles. And after a moment, his target spotted, Wolfgang began a maddeningly quick dash toward another vehicle, a small one. Gripping the vehicle with my telekinetic powers, Wolfgang flung it end over end toward the point when the second opponent would emerge from behind a vehicle. While before he had used a good portion of my weight to send a vehicle flying, this time Wolfgang had used nothing but his mental prowess, and that itself was a strain. <This’ll be a headache later, I’m sure> And with that, Wolfgang drove toward where the new car would land, legs pushing while his mind fought back the desire to shut itself down for sleep…

(OoC: Work bad.) (Holy crap, fuzzy's got some strength. A little lacking on finesse though..) I chuckled to myself as the half wolf monster that could only be Wolfgang collided head on with a car, rolling along the side and coming around behind it. I had lost sight of my other opponent, Heavyarms, but he couldn't be too far away. Acting quickly I jumped onto the hood of a careening sedan, it's driver madly turning the steering wheel, causing it to fishtail out of control. My armor adjusted for the speed difference automatically, making sure my footing was concrete on the metallic surface. I thoroughly enjoyed the new freedom the suit gave me, and would be thankful for it if what I planned worked out. A loud scratching noise caught my attention, the sound of steel grating steel, snapping my head around I swore under my breath as a behemoth of a semi pushed through the halted traffic, break fluid leaking a messy trail behind it. Tensing my legs I jumped off the sedan onto the side of a familiar looking RV, then from there into the path of the giant truck. The horn blared for a moment, cutting out all other noise as the trucker waved his arms frantically, as if he could move me out of his path. My suit reacted to my movements, a soft burst of energy sending me up and over the cab of the truck, onto the long metallic box dragging behind it. The entire movement took only a few moments, but my heart was already beating wildly, excitement flushing my face. I took a quick moment to glance at Wolfgang, Heavyarms forgotten for now. "Out of sight out of mind" I watched as Wolfgang dive bombed a car, kicking it up into the air, then blasted it towards Duelist, who was still flying above and behind me, waiting for an opening. "Tch.." My hand moved swiftly to my back, loosening Seria in it's hilt as I waited for a second, allowing the trucks momentum to reach it's peak. I ran forward a step, then leapt high into the air, my suit carrying my well above the carnage and into the path of the car. In a fluid movement I brought Seria down vertically in a blur of white steel, the deep purple inlay along the front of the blade glowing brightly, leaving a slim trail behind as I impaled the back of the vehicle. The trajectory changed slightly with my weight, but not enough to avoid Duelist. Focusing, my muscles burning I grasped the sword tightly then ordered my suit quickly forward. A white energy blast shot from behind me, rocketing my sword through the vehicle, almost causing me to falter my grip due to the unexpected speed. I made a mental note to myself as I fell towards the ground to see what this suit was truly capable of before my next battle. The vehicle was rended in two, the momentum and shock tearing the upper half, where my sword couldn't reach. Confidant that Duelist could handle that I placed Seria back in her sheath as I fell, and turned my attention downwards, landing softly on the roof of an old pickup. My soft return to the earth didn't last long however, as another speeding car fractured the front end of the pick up, the two vehicles lurching behind me, causing me to lose my balance. My armor reacted before I could, softening my harsh landing, but not by much. Shaking my head slightly I peeled myself up off the white pavement and looked towards the direction the car had originated from. There before me I saw Wolfgang, his frightening bulk heading towards my general direction. Smirking slightly I opened my arms wide, "Heya fuzzy, what's the matter? You look a little irked." Lowering my stance slightly I kept an eye open for Heavyarms, getting caught between these two at this point would not bode well.

All was working according to what I had reckoned would be a plan. Or not. “Ah, crap.” Were the words I had mention while running forwards, realizing that I had nothing to run on. Breaking my initial thought of getting through this without the wind carrying me, I summoned up the Southern Wind, enough to carry me up and in a horizontal line with Duelist, who just so happened to be flying towards me. I spun Anemone around and sheathed the neigh invisible blade at my side. At this time I saw my teammate ever so closely coming towards my position, and Demi slicing a car clean in half. I found it odd we all lined up nearly perfectly. The pincer was coming into fruition. Duelist, getting ever closer forced me to prepare a welcoming gift… He was being cautious though. “Northern Wind, in all your infinite strength, focus into my hands…” The air began to swirl about me, swirling into a ball focused in my palms. I took the initiative and flew towards Duelist myself, in a quick burst, fast enough for the air behind me to create a minor sonic boom. A few feet away from colliding with him, I twisted my body to his right, and then again, around to his backside. I continued onwards towards Demi, turning my back around, and facing Duelist. “Juggernaut wind, unending… Fist of the North Wind!” Reaching back my left hand, I swung at a wide angle, releasing a huge gust of wind; this attack was not meant to damage, but to blow Duelist away, like a leaf in the wind. Leaving him to that fate, I spun around to find Demi scanning the skies, looking right at me. “Allow me to say my friend, when the immovable object meets the unstoppable force, and there happens to be something in between them… what do you think will happen?” I said landing atop the very car Demi stood on. Readying my right fist, I again swung in a wide angle sending the same blast of wind towards my new target, hoping to test my hypothesis… (OOC: One more post until the cars begin again. For clarity on this attack, I currently sent a fairly powerful gust of wind at you Duelist, to keep you away from Wolfgang, Demi, and myself. Demi is now seeing that same gust, however, fairly more powerful due to the use of my right arm. I’m hopeing to sandwich him into the hulking mass that is Wolfgang. )

Chaos was often a common constant in battles. If there was one thing I could always count on, it was that everything seemed to be hectic and haywire within a fight. When it came down to fighting for my life there wasn’t always time to go over the finer details. It was either a split-second reaction to save your life or die on the end of a blade. The concept was simple, but within everything passed that much more quickly making the scene itself chaotic. And when a number of people were factored into it, the chaos grew. From yells of multitudes of men, to sudden fires, and a mass spilling of blood, it all added to a hectic scene which in reality was just man against man over and over again. I could imagine anyone who ever fought for their lives would know of all that I’ve thought of before. Chaos is indefinable but ever present within the aspect of the life of any who live by the sword. I could say I’ve become almost numb to the chaos which was an ever present part of my life. Or maybe I had become so used to fighting for my life, being beaten down and mustering up enough energy to survive. I could just say I no longer cared what happened to me. But, that was far from true. I had long passed a stage where I cared not for my own life. Now, I had those who depended on me and some reasons to live. It was simply the feeling of having done this before, another battle, another fight, which was getting to my head. Time no longer had meaning when based on a timeline of battles. But, even more relevant was the feeling that time altered within a battle. Now, things seemed slow enough for me to calculate where to strike, pinpoint weaknesses and plan out my attacks. Chaos no longer held such a large reign in battle. I dictated what happened more often rather than be swept up within it. Time certainly could change a man. The scene below me did not look to be getting any better. The blearing horns from vehicles increased as traffic became even more backed up, not allowing a number of lanes to be able to move. The crashing of metal and smashing of glass was like an ever present sound at regular intervals, as if someone were forming an orchestral piece from car crashes. And there was a thick, hazy black smoke rising from certain areas. This was only the beginning of this battle. The chaos and destruction we’d cause by the end of this battle would leave this place in shambles. I guess that was a burden I’d have to live with. I thought my companion or opponents cared all that much about all the lives we were destroying for our own sense of fulfillment. But, I imagine, it didn’t make sense for a supposedly hardened warrior to be so concerned over the well being of all these other lives. At least I wasn’t on the ground just yet and could enjoy the sensation of flight. Even with the armor on I could feel the air rush past me, brushing against me like a multitude of bristles. It was a wonderful feeling that not even a metal covering could lessen for me. I was floating above it all, away from the chaos. But, I shouldn’t take this as a flight for leisure; there were other things more apparent to worry about, namely, the three screens relaying me the positions of DemiGod, Wolfgang, and Heavyarms. The hums and beeps of my helmet at work in my ears was also a reminder of what I was doing at all times. At the least I could tell that everything so far was ok.

But, within a matter of seconds that fact changed. Wolfgang landed atop a vehicle and then settled behind it. And soon enough, that vehicle was slicing through the air on a course to intercept my position. DemiGod also had his own problems to deal with as Wolfgang sent a vehicle to collide with him. I had already ran through a number of options and weaponry to use before the car was anywhere near me and could easily map out a plan to destroy it. But, DemiGod took care of that problem for me. He had launched himself into the air, a white blade held tightly in his grip. He dispatched of the car quickly with a loud screeching noise as the metal sliced cleanly through the vehicle and a shower of orange-yellow sparks. This made the matter of taking care of a part of a vehicle much easier with its change in trajectory and speed. I twirled off to my right, lowering my height as I did so and causing the hum of the armor to rise in pitch momentarily. The vehicle flew overhead and off to my left, crashing into the pavement below and resounding with a loud boom as pieces of metal flew out in the midst of a small explosion. So far two moves involving vehicles avoided effortlessly. I wonder if there would be a third one, since trouble of that kind always seems to come in threes. I felt sorry if there were any people in that vehicle. But, I couldn’t worry over all these other lives just now, there would be time for that later, I needed to look out for my own life. <Hostile Lifeform 1 on a direct intercept course traveling at high speeds.> The computerized voice sounded once again in my helmet, giving me a warning in case I missed what was being fed on one of the screens. Heavyarms was now flying, a sonic boom giving a hint of his apparent speed, and it looked as if he was heading right towards me. Our current speeds made our meeting time that much shorter. Heavyarms, instead of colliding with me, did the smart thing and changed his course making it apparent I wasn’t his real target at the moment. I flipped my body backwards as I halted my flight and twisted, watching the world turn around me, to face Heavyarms. I turned in time to hear Heavyarms yell out the name of some attack involving wind. It would seem he had some trouble ready for me.

| I could only smirk, though it could not be seen through the confines of my helmet, with the futility of trying such an attack. If there was one thing I learned from Wolfgang it was that wind attacks were deadly. But, I also learned that they head straight through anything when heading for their target unless properly diverted. The second I knew Heavyarms was throwing out a wind attack, I immediately prepared for it with the shield I had devised for such a purpose. With a thought, the energy shield changed in its general nature, instead of being a hard barrier against anything that hit it, instead the shields angled out forming taking on a triangular shape, only shown through the statistics on my helmet. There was a loud whooshing sound, like the winds of a tornado finally unleashed as the blunt of the wind attack met the modified shield, and as it did the course of it was altered off to either side of me with the rest of the wide arc of wind. I shook my head a moment to regain my bearings, and looked out across the battlefield and at the shape of Heavyarms about to land atop a vehicle. Well, I had best show him the error of his ways. The hum of the armor grew to a suddenly loud pitch as I sent a sudden wave of energy through the micro energy devices. There was a sudden clap like thunder as the energy boomed to life and I shot forth, plotting a course in my head right at Heavyarms’ back. The world passed by in a blur within those precious seconds, and I brought myself to a halt, cutting off the energy propelling the armor, while at the same time aiming to collide with my shoulder at Heavyarms’ back, hopefully projecting the momentum of my sudden stop into the object in front of me. If it worked, Heavyarms’ would at least be propelled forward somewhat in the vicinity near DemiGod. I blinked a few times to clear the specks floating in my vision, my body wasn’t completely used to using the armor to help propel myself to such speeds. It would be by the time I was done with this battle, though. --- Yip:Did you like it? I thought I'd check . . . Yip: Sure you do! | “Damn,” Wolfgang muttered through his clenched jaw as he looked at the person standing in front of him. Under most circumstances, he would have found his comment comical, amusing and would have broke down howling in laughter and the insanity of it. But, that was not the case. Heavyarms was relaying orders of what had to be done, and was using his elemental affinity to wind to toss people around like rag dolls, people like DemiGod, the person before him, or rather, many feet away from Wolfgang yet. But that distance was closing as the wind began to billow and he began to rush against it. Wolfgang’s left arm began its morph, the barrel of the cannon becoming prominent, his hand all but disappearing within the confines of the cylindrical shell. Barking out a growl as he rushed, Wolfgang began to instruct his suit to perform calculations that would send a missile barrage against the now incoming Duelist, something Wolfgang’s partner, hadn’t anticipated on. His feet crunched against the hoods of cars, sirens and alarms and horns going off with every pawed beat, the cacophony of racket punctuated by the dismal screams of the pained, the ferocious yells of the angered, the undulating bellows of the annoyed. Curses rent the air, awes and gasps alike as Wolfgang passed by. Some were awed by the presence of such a beast, others took it as an omen; all cursed it. The wolf-like face of Wolfgang was awash in light as the holographic heads-up-display splashed information and targeting information about his surroundings and everything in-between. The wind rippled and wafted, carrying the scents and smells of arid smoke rising in plumes from broken engines caused from Wolfgang’s leaps, always closing on the position of the little man, DemiGod. His HUD beeped firing solutions for approximately ten missiles, missiles that would come close to hitting Duelist, but explode before contact with his shields. They would home in on him as they had the last time they had fought, but the micro missiles had gone through an upgrade. Their power was twice-fold now, and Wolfgang had learnt from his last match. The end of the cannon split open like a flower blossoming, four parts and began to spin round in a circle. Wolfgang raised his left arm and pointed it in the direction of Duelist and fired. A stream of high-pitched screaming came from the missiles as they launched, ten in all, all homing in on that solitary target. Wolfgang didn’t smile; the missiles were seen as a waste this early on in the match, even if there were many more to be had. Closing on DemiGod, naught but a few more feet away, Wolfgang lowered his shoulder and projected his shield in an elliptic arm in front of him to slam the man into the ground with all his Albeado strength, the brute force of his motion and momentum. It would be painful for DemiGod, but Wolfgang knew DemiGod would attempt an evasion. Either way, it left Duelist open for him, and he would leave DemiGod with a parting gift if he got away this one time… |

“Allow me to say my friend, when the immovable object meets the unstoppable force, and there happens to be something in between them… what do you think will happen?” (sigh) Did he actually say that? I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the silly comment. This wasn't child's play, such overworked threats seemed so out of place. Still, he was fully capable of backing it up, as I would soon find out. With a few spoken words he spread his hand in a wide arc towards Duelist, causing a visible wind eddy to rocket towards him. As I watched I thumbed the hilt of Disia, releasing the sword but an inch from it's hilt. Smiling I followed the eddy for the few seconds it took to have Duelist break through the wind attack, a bright flash of white light the only sign of the blinding speed at which Duelist body checked Heavyarms just as he sent the same attack towards me. I turned on my heel, Disia escaping it's sheath with a flick of the wrist. Ducking low I angled my body backwards, holding the sword tightly before me in my left hand. Disia had been a gift from Rift, a sentiment left over from a battle we had. It's blade was simple, unadorned steel with a jet black hilt, yet had the unique ability to redirect elemental energies. Thus far I could only marginally control the flow of energies, it was a new power to me, but had proved useful thus far. I braced myself as the blast hit me, squinting into the clouds of dust swirling around my body. The blast began to push me backwards, the energy too fast to redirect fully, Instead of fighting it I gave in, falling to my back into the ground hard. <This whole me on the ground thing is getting old..> I caught sight of a small grouping of missiles soaring towards Duelist, thin trails of smoke and fire cutting through the sky. Then suddenly, Heavyarms figure took up my view, plummeting from above as his angle of descent pushed him towards me... Ignoring him for now I tensed my muscles, feeling them bunch under the pressure, and pushed up, angling Disia upwards. If he could not change his course in time, he would be caught up in his own wind attack. The relief came all at once as the blast of wind flew over my body, heading beyond me in a straight line towards Wolfgang, who as I tilted my head appeared to be rushing towards me. I snarled slightly as I stood up, a sudden pang of pain in my leg pulling my attention towards the thin trail of blood twisting slowly into my boots. While the bulk of my body appeared intact, my leg had been caught along the pavement, dragged raw by the friction of wind and stone. It was nothing too serious, and should not hinder my fighting abilities in any way, but that it happened was an annoyance enough. Tendrils of wind stuck around Disia weaving towards and away from the blade as I placed it back in it's sheath. I stood and looked around for Heavyarms and Wolfgang, it would have been nearly impossible for the furry bastard to dodge the attack, but something told me it would not stun him for too long. Heavyarms on the other hand was who I was worried about.

| This man was smiling at my words… I smiled back to him as his sword inched its way out of its holster. He turned on his heel and leaned way back, as if he were going to Limbo under my oncoming tackle. I felt the power in his sword slowly absorb the wind… I laughed. The blast of wind slammed into his body, it was if he struggled to hold back… his knees gave out and he slammed into the hood of the car he was on. He was strong enough to redirect some at me. I felt the cool breeze pass me by, completely unhindered. To the wind and myself. It continued on behind me as I continued my tackle into Demi. It was then I noticed Wolfgang’s missiles gliding through the air… Lovely sprinkles of death heading for the target behind me. I turned my head to see Duelist unhindered by my Wind Fist. I smiled; the wind Demi redirected would be a blessing. I thrusted my left arm out and the missiles already hovering towards their target shifted direction, and picked up one hell of a lot more speed as they fanned out in a circle and closed in on Duelist from all sides. To aid this, I quickly lowered my hands to Anemone, and inched it out of the black cherry sheath that held it. In one quick motion I drew the sword out and spun around in a large circle, arcing my blade in a wide angle that caused a second, more powerful gust of wind to blow in Duelist's direction. As my swing returned to the direction of Demi and Wolfgang, the wind towards their direction dissipated completely, all of it seeming to fly around me to aid both the missiles and the distraction of Duelist. Anemone was back in its sheath as quickly as it was drawn. “Before you try that again, know my friend, that I am the Wind, and the Wind is me. Redirecting it only helps it hold me in its arms, and embrace me with its strength.” I grinned. Wolfgang was bearing down on him with a force that almost made me shudder. Demi seemed too open… I turned to my side and tucked in low… Another boom of air followed my form as I sped through the small distance that kept me from sending Demi’s body into the mass of Wolfgang… (OOC: Y’know, fighting on cars is getting boring… Whenever anyone wants to move to a nearby rooftop, do so. | (OoC: Actually, I buffered the attack for a few moments, then released it over and behind me, into/towards Wolfgang. Considering the speed of the wind attack, and the close proximity in which he would have been by the time I allowed the attack to fly beyond me, it would be very hard for him to dodge. | My vision cleared within a matter of seconds, the purple and various other colored specks soon disappearing as they never existed. Things around me weren’t looking that great. It appeared that Heavyarms’ had found a way to speed ahead before I made contact with him. This was a slight hindrance to plans, but it wouldn’t matter in the end. Now, I needed to rethink my current course of action. A quick analysis of the battlefield and the current situation was in order. I needed to find a way to get DemiGod out of the mess he was currently in and create a bit of an offensive in the process. Quick and decisive action was in order and I didn’t have much time to figure out what course to take. My eyes scanned left and right overlooking the battlefield through the warped perception of the electronic feedback of the visor. Lines and grids ran over my vision, and followed my every eye movement. A number of times a certain area was pointed out as a white circle with a point would appear over it and rotate for a number of moments. Everything was a mess, and the armor’s system was informing me of any spots which could be used to my advantage. A number of stopped cars were the most notable things to be used, if I could devise a plan for them which also involved saving DemiGod’s ass. At the very least this environment provided me with a number of objects to be used to my advantage, they just needed to be used properly. Within seconds I had a course of action thought up, and my quick scan of the battlefield had ended. I always was one for thinking quickly while under pressure, one of my only means of surviving for this long. I should have been dead hundreds of times by all logic. It could be considered a miracle that I was even floating here at this moment. But, that is just the way life works at times. It apparently makes absolutely no sense, or just enough sense so that I didn’t lose my mind. I doubt I would ever know all the little nuances of life, though in truth, it really didn’t matter all that much. I lived at the moment and in order to keep doing so I needed to do something now. The air was a mix of scents, most of them unpleasant. The acidic smell of oil burning filled the air, a stench that could not be avoided with the number of wrecked vehicles. The air was crisp from the autumn smell and the fire which bloomed everywhere, sparkling like orange and red crystals. The orchestra of unwanted sounds continued without end, screams, horns blearing, engines roaring, it was a displeasure to the sense. Everything around here was a displeasure to my sense. I could and would never get over my dislike of cities. Reflection was a tank moving in upon its target, destroying all in its way while keeping its singular vision focused upon the goal ahead of it. The crunch of metal was apparent wherever he went as he moved from car to car. He needed to be taken care of before he could reach DemiGod; Heavyarms was nothing more than an unneeded nuisance at the moment. Wolfgang was the biggest danger to my partner and thus had to be stopped or slowed down, whichever happened first. He began to raise his arm during his run, the left arm, that one was trouble. Now where have I seen this scene before. I thought to myself. And just as it had played out before, the left arm morphed to a shape like a flower in bloom ready to launch forth its pollen, which would be missiles, out onto the unsuspecting world, or in this case, me. A multitude of targeting reticules appeared on screen and I noted the small whirring noise at my weapons prepared themselves. A number of holes opened upon the arms of my armor, no more then a few inches in diameter, eight upon each arm. Underneath the openings were a number of nozzles which were apparently moving and whirring as they prepared to target, able to target a full 360 degrees. I always kept some of my best weapons hidden. |

| With a whoosh I heard the missiles launch out, making a note at their high speed of travel. <Swarm of projectiles intercepting upon current area. Course of action suggested immediately.> I know, I know. I muttered back to the computer as if it could hear me. I let out a sigh at remembering the last time this was used against me and how much it had hurt, I was better prepared this time, he’d find out that much. <Hostile Lifeform 1 posing a hostile threat. Missile course altered, recalculating targeting. Second high speed gust of wind heading towards your position.> You’re just full of good news, aren’t you? I cursed at the voice, though it was nothing more than a warning system. In the blink of an eye, the wind redirectional shields once again activated, taking care of the gust of wind when it would come. And the targeting system locked onto all 10 missiles. Well, here I go. I announced to no one in particular. A number of zing like sounds sounded as energy spread fire type blasts shot from the nozzles upon my arm, ready to destroy the beacons of death. And a loud sonic boom accompanied them as I relayed even more energy into the anti gravity devices, shooting straight up like an arrow as a number of loud explosions sounded off below. It was a beautiful sight for the brief seconds my scanner showed it, bright flecks met bright flecks and a show much akin to fireworks, energy reactions going off within the sapphire sky, lighting up the entirety of the freeway, and reflecting upon the various metal. Many of the people poked their heads out of their windows to watch the explosion, while others were standing on the road to watch the mess we had created. One of the screen feeds had calculated Heavyarms speed and had done the calculations of the energy needed to surpass. Luckily, I could provide it without too much trouble, as I intercepted the direction DemiGod was traveling. There was a slight buzzing sound as I came to a stop and the energy dissipated behind me. I was right within Heavyarms’ path and it was time to put a little bump in his road. I threw out my right arm, the palm device opened, and in blink with a dark flash of light, Icelently was within my hand. I made a quick slash from my right to left, enjoying the music of the metal traveling through the air at high speeds, and I used the natural psionic amplification properties of the black spear. The air shimmered as molecules were changed over to energy for a brief moment and that energy was soon manipulated. A wall of nothing, in a sense, formed in front of me, and outwards to my left and right for a good twenty feet. Heavyarms would most likely meet this wall, and be forced to stop for a meeting with me. Now, it was time to take care of problem. I took a deep breath, hoping to clear my head and the headache from once again traveling that fast via the usage of the armor. The earth on the highway began to rumble and shake, a roaring type sound filling the air. A large fist of earth rose up, leaving mounds of dirt falling behind it, looking as if it were a tower overlooking the highway. The fist moved with swift speed and struck a nearby car, sending it flipping through the air towards the wolf man. I pointed out my left arm as a targeting screen appeared showing me the position of the car in relation of Reflection. The bottom metal of the wrist dropped down revealing a small yet high powered laser. There was a high pitched hum as the laser charged up, and a beam of red light shot forth from the sleek black metal. Before the car could hit my enemy as I somewhat planned, the laser would pierce the gas tank of the vehicle and send out a little explosion, enough of a distraction with the debris of the car, hopefully, to save DemiGod. Now, let’s really get to having some fun. I laughed. --- Yip:Did you like it? I thought I'd check . . . Yip: Sure you do! You'll take it and like it! |)úè£î§±: Took me long enough. |

Time was of the essence, an important thing, and as moments slide by millisecond by millisecond accompanied by the quick pounding of his heart, the flashing and firing of synapses as information was calculated, plans thought and re-thought, Wolfgang moved. He was well aware that his missiles were more a delaying tactic. Duelist would have developed something to deal with the old tactic, and old tactics seldom worked. Ingenuity was what won you battles, and Wolfgang had some up his sleeve as he pounded in on the presence of DemiGod. Wolfgang was well aware that Duelist would have developed new weapons and tactics for dealing with each and every attack he had used since their last match. Of course, Wolfgang had been hard at work developing new weapons of countering his own old attacks. Since the last match, Wolfgang had heavily altered his suit. This was a 02-115E/A, but already, Wolfgang was planning out the 02-115E/B with what he was seeing in this battle. He’d incorporate as many changes into the new suit as he could, while streamlining the already quick response times of the suit. Wolfgang was upon DemiGod in a second, the winds that had been onrushing toward him disappearing as though naught a breeze had been there. But instead of actually punching right into DemiGod, Wolfgang did something else altogether. He was just a foot away from him as he jumped into the air, pointed his right arm down and listened as a grenade dropped into the cylinder launcher and fired. The weapon flashed at DemiGod and exploded, leaving a large cloud of smoke and gas along with the sound of a sonic boom. But as Wolfgang shot into the air, leaving behind him a small blast of fiery death, he sent more fire toward Heavyarms, a blast of raging flames that shoot out from DemiGod’s blast radius to envelop him. Cars that were enveloped in the resulting explosion were superheated, parts melting off. The screech of brakes slashed through the air. People screamed, and some jumped from their vehicles and began running away from the sight. Plumes of arid smoke rose into the air, along with the sounds of burnt flesh. In the distance, Wolfgang could hear emergency vehicles making their way as quickly as they could to the sight of the blast. It’d be a long time before they reached this spot, Wolfgang thought idly, especially with all the flipped cars slowing up traffic that was already rush hour. Heavyarms had his fire, and Wolfgang had other things to do, such as the car now flying in at me. There were none of the ten missiles left, but no matter, they had served their purpose, albeit, it was a pretty short lived purpose. The leap that Wolfgang done put him in the way of the car now flashing at him, flowing down at an increasing rate of acceleration due to gravity. And then the vehicle just exploded.

Wolfgang’s scanners informed him that the blast had been caused by a piercing of the fuel tank and inciting of the contents within it. Wolfgang snapped his eyes closed, shielding them from the brightness and glare from being in such close proximity to the blast, as well as being within the blast radius. His particle shields were up instantly, catching bits of shrapnel as they were flung outward in parabolic arcs at various velocities. Wolfgang used his hover boots to add some more thrust to him. From within the cloud of smoke and debris, his sensors were scrambled, but so too would be Duelists until he emerged from the other side. The heat of the blast wasn’t even felt, of course this was due to the Albeado’s nature. And then he was through the blast; his black suit having even blacker score marks from where the blast had penetrated his shields. A grin crossed the lupine face, maw parting slightly in the approximation of the human equivalent as he neared. Leveling his right arm, Wolfgang had his sword in hand having unsheathed it during the blast. Or course, it wasn’t the sword that was going to be the problem, it was the launcher contained, which cycled through the various grenade-like weaponry contained within the small magazine. And then he fired, the canister exploding and thin silver-like strands flying through the air, each one designed to act like a wind slash, but charged with an ionic pulse to short circuitry and seer shielding. It was perfect… |

Admittedly, I had been put into a bad position, actually, bad wasn't so much the word I was looking for. More like annoyingly frustrating situation, if that's even possible. Despite the speed of my counter attack, and Heavyarms preoccupation with Duelists attack, he was still able to obscure the power of his gale force wind attack down to a light breeze. I'm sure that trick would go over well at birthday parties, but this was ridiculous. "“Before you try that again, know my friend, that I am the Wind, and the Wind is me. Redirecting it only helps it hold me in its arms, and embrace me with its strength.” I smiled loosely at this, muttering under my breath. I had more important things to deal with than a wind bag. Wolfgang was almost on top of me, my legs still slightly shaky from my stint on the pavement. I took the few seconds I had to crouch low, bunching my leg muscles and testing the jets on my back with a slight flare. The huge beast lumbered towards me with undeniable speed. He may not be as maneuverable as the rest of use here, but his size ensured he didn't have to be. He was a one way train of destruction, and I was on the tracks. What happened next was both surprising, and in a way useful. The train jumped tracks, I heard the slight clink of metal settling on metal, and followed my sites to the hollow end of a cylinder aimed straight down ontop of me. Smiling at the ingenuity of the situation, I took my precious few seconds to let loose the muscles bunched in my legs, rushing straight forwards, away from Wolfgang as he let loose his shot. I glanced back as I ran, my hand on Seria's hilt, and watched with growing annoyance as a grenade touched the ground, bouncing up half an inch before exploding into a flaming mass, igniting nearby cars. "Well crap." I let my hand fall from Seria's hilt and jumped high into the air, the loud clap of a minor sonic boom followed by a pure white blast of energy were the only signs of my passing as I fled from the impending massive explosion. A slight release of jets and twist of my body allowed me to view the carnage from above. The fire engulfed everything without care the once pure white highway charred black from the high flames, metal and human flesh melting into each other as screams of fear and pain echoed to my ears. Debris shot outwards at high speeds, a few larger pieces leaving small cuts along my face, and a deep gash along the shoulder of my right arm, both gone unoticed. This was too much.. sirens were sounding in the city, warnings of impending doom as people tried in vain to flee their homes, unsure of what was happening, only wanting to survive. This was no longer a simple game, these two didn't care for the lives of these people, the carnage had no effect on them as they fought. It was disgusting. Making up my mind I called out to the wolf-like creature: "Hey fuzzy, follow me if you want to finish what you started." That said I turned towards the rooftop of a nearby building, an ancient gray monolith sitting alongside the large freeway, it had obviously been there for many years. After tonight, it would most likely be a pile of rubble.

In a flash I was overtaken in speed, and my prey escaped. Duelist showed an impressive feat of speed, coving so much ground in only a few short moments, and my being about 15 feet away from crushing Demi shocked me even more. I was being careless, I should have already impaled him on a spike of lightning. "You never fail to surprise me, Duelist. But I assume, that you only caught up to me because of the chintzy armor you wear. Afraid, I guess, of being hurt. Just like my partner, and yours." I asked aloud, stopping suddenly before impacting Duelist. The stop was not of my own, but a forced maneuver. A wall of some sort prevented me from attacking once more. An explosion happened shortly afterwards, Wolfgang picking up my own lost wind, and bombing Demi where he stood. With this wall here, and the explosion behind him, Duelist was essentially trapped! I shot my hand out, forming a gentle grip around my partner. I could already feel the wind cupping him in her sweet embrace. He was directly above Duelist, and I did not want Wolfgang to miss such a prime opportunity. "Wolfgang! Brandish your sword down and impale Duelist's head!" I screamed, the words echoing around, growing ever louder. "Leave Demi to me!" I yelled, lifting my hand up above my head, and then throwing it downwards. The wind would push Wolfgang right on top of Duelist, and hopefully at a speed Duelist couldn't match... I grinned, flying up higher over the explosion, spotting Demi hopping onto a nearby building. I flicked my wrist towards the tiny black shadow, and a whip of lightning appeared instantly, crackling the air in front of him. I twisted my wrist up, and did the same, only this time directly behind him. I was toying with my prey... "Demi... I hope you can fly..." I pondered, as I flung the whip of lightning directly onto the building, slicing diagonally downwards. When Demi landed it would break apart and fall. The beam whip retracted into my hand, and laughed when it was done. Things were turning out wonderfully...
