| The Day was cool and bright as I walked alone
up the hill that would bring me to my past. A past that I held close
in my memories as sacred. I had left my companion Cero a few miles
back. We had been journeying to the village of Shanir, but before I
could go I needed to make this excursion. After our battle my
emotions were raw, Cero understood my need to leave and made plans
to meet up outside the village soon. I just needed an hour or two to
myself. Just enough to keep my memories alive and calm my
thoughts. All the memories of my family and my brother Bastian had came back during our battle. I had been under the impression that Cero was the one, the killer of my brother and I wanted no less than revenge for his death. The world is filled with opportunists, and I got caught up in it. Many seemed to have a grudge against Cero, using me as a tool bent on his destruction. Ultimately I came to the realization that he was not the one I sought. I had been manipulated into hunting an innocent. The ones who fed me the lies could not have for seen the battle and it’s end. For in losing an enemy I had gained a friend and now companion who had pledged to help me in my quest. Our battle at it’s conclusion I was spent emotionally. My wounds were open and needed the healing balm that visiting this place would provide my soul. As I reached the crest of the hill I looked down upon my past. All that was before me was the remnants of a once great city. Ancient stone buildings stood open and roofless to the harsh elements and nature. What had once been a haven to my people had become nothing more than a garden of destruction and weeds. Most of the buildings were missing walls on at least one side. Well tended gardens now grew wild and thorny, keeping all away. It was hard to believe that this had been my home no less than twelve years ago. The city of the dragons, Drac Ma Syl it was once know as. A city that was self sustaining. We were shunned by the populace of this world so my people had decided to build their own city where we would be able to live in peace and never deal with the outside races. For years and year the small city grew into a large one that became our people’s pride and in the end our bane. Humans who would pass by were given leave to rest upon the soft hills or buy supplies as they passed, but none in the city ever traveled out to purchase from the humans. Unfortunately the city grew so magnificent that the humans became jealous, and in an attempt to steal the city away and take it over, they slaughtered or captured any they could get a hold of. As I stood and thought on this history I couldn't help but ball my fist up tightly at the Human greed that had destroyed my family. Peaceful we had been, helpful at all opportunities, and still there was no justice in the end! I hurried to the city taking note of the cool breezes and the scents of autumn. The leaves were various colors of bright oranges and yellows. I loved this time of year, to me it was the most beautiful season. My black cloak flowed about my slight frame, my hood covering my face from any who may wish to identify me. Secrecy had been my ally for 12 years, and it continued to be my first weapon of defense. None who first laid eyes upon me knew of my true race. They would soon learn if I was pushed far enough. |

| Finally reaching the structure that was once
my home I walk in. The heavy memory nostalgia can bring to a heart
is a weight I endure every opportunity I come here. Heavy and
melancholy I can’t help but hear my brother’s laughter in this
house. Finding a stone widow seat I sit and remember fondly
different events which had taken place in my youth. My mother at the
table, making it ready to feast, my father as he came home after
working all day. Bastian always there, always at my rescue. I had no
worries when he was around. He would protect me. My family was gone
now. My brother had been slain. I could not change this. I needed to
be here, to remember what I had lost, to renew my vigor and my need
to see justice done. I could not falter in this! I needed to
persevere, and accept the past, and journey on to my
future. Feeling a great sadness about me I decided it was time to go. I needed to meet Cero, and if I dallied too long here he may become concerned. Setting out from the city I had a sense of a presence near that I should have noticed before now but didn't. Unsure of who this presence was, or what they wanted I walked on with caution as my guide. I would in no way hint that I knew of their presence. If they wanted to approach, then let them come. I would not stop them. I could feel my blood start to rush through my veins as it always did whenever the thought of a fight hung in the air. I would just wait and see what they would do. |

| Click. Click. Click. My footfalls rang with a
clicking noise against the almost ancient marble tiles that made up
the foray of steppes of the main road-like path that cut a swath
through the abandoned city. My head looked left and right, ice blue
eyes watching all, taking the entire area in. The color of leaves,
which pelted the ground with each whispering of the wind, were
stained orange, red and yellow. Air currents, small maelstroms,
lifted leaf after leaf from their precarious hold on the branches
above. Click. Click. Click. I didn’t bother to hide myself. Next to
me walked Zev, his jade green eyes doing the same as my ice blue,
studying everything. We walked with purpose. This was a shortcut or sorts. It wouldn’t have been so years ago, though, as a grand city had once stood. We were to see Lord Mylvarok in a week’s time, and thusly, since Zev had neither heard of, nor seen the Lord, I took it upon me to take him there. And also, had an ulterior motive. I had much to console Zev on, and to instruct him on the histories of the land. He was taking in each word I said, but this town, I knew little of, if anything of the whole of this land. Being within the bounds of another alternate dimension, I often took it upon myself to learn the universes histories, key events from key planets. This town, though, held none, or none that I could find. It was a ruin, a testament to something once grand. The white marble was glorious in color, but paled in comparison to the Temple of Albeado. Zev walked next to me in silence, listening to my words, his brows drawn together in stern concentration. He stopped, forcing me to halt my leisurely pace. “Someone… else is here,” he said in an odd tone, his head tilting to one side as he said this. I sniffed the air, taking in the scents, and too, found the presence, something I had missed. Odd, how I had missed it. Of course, the wind had now changed directions, blowing in its blustery gales, flinging all its strength at Zev’s face, as well as my own. I could almost have smiled at this. People were everywhere in the world, and I often took great pains to avoid them, but this would prove interesting, to show Zev something new. He rarely left the Temple, with his duties there taking up the whole of his time. Zev drew the edges of his hunter green cloak about him, the wind pulling in fury at the fabric. I too, drew my own cloak about myself, my own a navy blue. We began our trek again, following the scent, until we were but several feet away from an almost ancient dwelling. We watched, silently, as a figure stepped out, began walking away. Odd, that the figure would not notice two fully-grown men standing out in the open, but often, people were oblivious to things. For a moment, I thought the figure might be a thief, taking anything it could find, but this place was most likely pillaged years ago, so thusly, I believed this was someone come to mourn the loss of family, mourn the loss of a life past. |

| The figure was cloaked, leaving its identity
unknown. Zev looked at the figure, intrigued. “Who- what is that? Zev said, eyes narrowing, brows drawing together. He was truly intrigued. I almost laughed at him, but kept myself from the pleasure. Secrecy was often first on my agenda when in alternate universes. Zev, on the other hand, had not learnt this lesson. He would have to be taught it. “Shush,” I said sternly, like a father scolding a child. “Remember, we are not of this universe, and therefore, being foreigners, will be willfully attacked simply for our differences. I have been hunted before. It is not an experience I wish to repeat.” Zev only nodded in response, and I wondered if he even heard me. His eyes were staring after the figure. Suddenly, several thoughts invaded my mind, Zev exercising his telepathic abilities. The ripping away of the cloak showed a figure, the same walking away, but it was a female. I turned to Zev, my eyes wide. He only nodded. He was most likely trying to probe the mind of the individual. It was a bad move, one that would most likely cause the individual to notice us all the more, but how could one not notice two men standing in the open. I saw in my mind words beginning to form. Zev, informing me that she knew. I was often jealous of Zev’s superior telepathic abilities, but I surpassed him in the telepathic. We each had our strengths and weaknesses, and thusly, balanced each other. We looked the same, being twins, each of us with the same ash-brown hair. But, we both had different colored eyes. His were jade, while mine an ice blue. Silently, we began to tread, following. Click. Click. Click-click. We stopped, eyeing the figure. Zev put the thought into my mind that the figure was most likely hostile. He informed me that she was readying herself for combat, that her muscles were tensed, that a fire was burning brightly within her, and that like a coiled snake, would strike if we dared turn out backs. She knew we were here. With this thought now in mind, I drew my blade, Krypsokorph, from its sheath upon my back, gripping the hilt tightly. The blade slide out easily, but a faint “Shing!” could be heard as the blade exited its scabbard. It this sound did not give us away, nothing would. Zev had steeled himself away, but I knew where he had disappeared. None could see him, not if they were directly looking for him. He had made the possibility that he was invisible, and he would be so, unless someone was looking directly for him. I was the only figure that would be seen. I waited now, blade drawn, tensing my own muscles for combat… |

| TridenT had walked for days, wondering if and
how he should ever finish his lamentable task. Finally coming upon a
ravaged, ages-worn city in the final period of crumbling, the
wanderlust demi-deity wondered for a moment if he'd ever been here,
back when it was alive and bustling. His memory was a weak one,
though, and did not serve to recollect if, in fact, he'd ever even
heard of a city here, much less one this mighty in appearance.
TridenT walked to the edge of the main wall, destroyed as it were,
but still a mighty symbol that few were welcome or wanted here.
Stepping over some rubble into the bounds of the massive ruin,
TridenT looked about for signs of a cave or exposed underground
entrance. For nearly a hundred years, he'd searched for something, ANYthing that could lead him to one weapon. And what was funny to TridenT was the fact that he hadn't yet confronted someone else already in the weapon's possession. When he became one with Posiedon, god of the sea, and Posiedon became his spear, SEPP, TridenT was informed of two other weapons. They were the trapped embodiments of Posiedon's brothers, Zues and Hedas. Knowing nothing as to the whereabouts of these weapons, TridenT freqently submits himself to the whims of the sea god, who takes control of a human form while TridenT rests as a trident at Posiedon's side. He does this so Posiedon can try to locate the weapons through his brotherly bond with them before he is forced back into his own weapon form. TridenT finally stumbled across a clue as to where one of these other brothers might be. Hearing rumors of an abandoned city where once was wielded a great sword that had the power to reanimate and control the dead, and one swipe with it was all it took to end any warrior's life, no matter how grand he was before. Posiedon recognized this as a possible link to Hedas, and directed TridenT this far. However, the perennial nineteen-year-old was skeptical as to the possibility of such a sought-after sword still being in such a ruined city. Yet, he still searched. Only upon collecting all three weapons would he free himself of the curse of the gods. --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| Suddenly, TridenT stopped altogether. He
looked around, and in his heart came a sudden warmth. Someone
familiar was nearby, someone dear to him, but they seemed... a bit
different. The warmth included a feeling of rage, perhaps a vengeful
motif. TridenT couldn't place a finger on the feeling, despite his
attempts to use Posiedon's clairvoyance to enlighten himself. It
clouded the warmth so that he couldn't even identify his possible
acquaintance here in this ruin. Of course, he didn't have the ability to sense total strangers, so it alarmed him greatly when the sound of cold steel against steel grated in his ear from a different direction. Readying himself for anything, TridenT held SEPP and crouched behind a wall. --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| At first I thought that it was only the one
that I sensed, but almost as suddenly I knew there were more. Of how
many I was not sure, but I knew it was more than what I had
originally believed. I could sense a probing almost like thin
threads invading my thoughts. Wrapping around my consciousness, I
wondered if the person had found what they were looking for. I had
nothing to hide and did not care if they delved through my mind’s
eye. They no doubt knew I was aware of them. That was just as well.
They had invaded my privacy, and for them to believe me ignorant to
their presence was not important. Looking around my area once more, my back still to whoever was there, I reflected on my surroundings. Blood had not been spilt here for a long time, but it seemed that it was destined to be the sight of yet another battle. I wondered how my family would feel about this. Was this a desecration to all the souls that had been massacred in this same spot? Or was the past just that, the past. Hanging my head begging the forgiveness of my people I turned to face the threat I now perceived behind me. Turning I see a lone figure. I had thought there were more here, but only one stood before me. A light haired figure of a man cloaked in blue, his sword drawn I wondered if he had read that I was also aware of him as to attack at the slightest provocation. Hmmm...if this was so then the rest of this day may turn out to be of great interest. I must cloak my thoughts as well as possible considering he had read me so easily. Never before had this obstacle been before me. Weaponless to the eye I looked him over. If he had read me well enough to draw a weapon, then he must also know of my secret. Removing my cloak I fold it and carefully lay it over a short wall nearby. Turning back to him I stand with my hands on my hips, my 5'2" frame deceptively slight, and my black hair pulled back tightly into a long braid at the center of my head. To a passerby no one would believe I had a care in the world, I took no menacing steps towards the figure before me, and I would not. He had interrupted my sorrow, had interfered with my memories, if he wished to further this confrontation then I would be ready for him. You have come here and are not one of my people. This I know well. Why do you trespass where you should not? This is the sacred land of my people. I would know your business sir, and I would like it known now. A thought suddenly occurred to me, Cero would be waiting for me. I wondered if he might come looking for me if I did not show up at our meeting spot at the set time. He may not seek me out thinking I needed the time alone. There was still a sense that this one before me was not the only one here. If there were more people to deal with I wondered if I could handle it all on my own. I could not depend on Cero showing up. It seemed that I was going to have to rely on myself for the time being and stay on my guard. Silently watching the cloaked man before me I awaited his answer. Curiosity and rage at his presence warred within my heart. Mankind could not leave my homeland alone, even in it’s darkest hours, it would still wage a war on it’s ravaged lands. I, as the last of this city, would defend it’s honor where no others could. This I pledged to my people as I looked and waited. |

| Zev saw into her mind. Wolfgang, though,
couldn’t, so he had no idea what was happening. He stood dumbfounded
at the woman as she spoke. Listened to her words attentively,
listened to her voice as it trailed along in the cool, crisp wind.
Trespass? Wolfgang thought, almost ideally. He was about to respond,
when the image of a man, not too far behind came to mind. There was
yet another person here. No that Wolfgang sniffed the air, he caught
the scent. Yes, there was another here. Zev was planning something.
He wouldn’t tell me what, just that I was to keep talking. Odd, that
I should talk, now, where was I? Wolfgang thought quickly, trying to
regain his patterns of thought. “I am not trespassing,” he said at first, mauling these thoughts about in his head. Now, about the sacred part. “None own this land, and it could not possibly sacred. Maybe to you, but not to any travelers. I am simply taking a route that is much shorter, and thusly, travel through these ruins.” That would do nicely. And then, I knew what Zev was doing. An enormous telepathic shock wave erupted forth. Zev planned to hinder all around by destroying their mental capacities to do so… *** Zev looked on at the woman. Watched as she removed her cloak that she could be a problem. He watched as her solemn thoughts transformed into ones of fighting, of defense, of attack. He sensed in her a power raising. This was not something good. And then, there was another yet. It was doubtful that he could prove too much a hassle if he wasn’t gotten rid of quickly. Zev sensed more power. Unlike his brother, Wolfgang, Zev could sense far more. He also ‘saw’ far more than Wolfgang could. It was part of a balance between the twins. As Zev mumbled to himself in thought, he happened upon an idea. He had largely telepathic powers, and could in theory, destroy mental powers. All he had to do was focus this power in on the two opponents and distort their powers. Though, this could very well mean that they turn hostile immediately. It was worth a chance, though. Zev prepared himself. He gathered his entire mental prowess. And then, it all flew out, both opponents targeted. An immense burst that would cause a mere human to die from its sheer strength. Zev waited now. *** Wolfgang stood in horror at what his brother had done. This woman would now undoubtedly attack now. He had most likely sent both parties on a collision course with each other that would produce disastrous results. All Wolfgang could do now was ready himself and his blade for battle… |

| Peeking out from behind the crumbled wall,
TridenT peered around to see who had just spoken. He knew that
voice, and moreover, it reaffirmed the warm rememberance in his
heart. He now knew that Kai was definitely here, and moreover, she
was defending something vastly personal. Suddenly it hit him; her
ability to transform, coupled with her powerful nature... what if
there were an entire city of such people? The guardians of a cursed
sword of death would certainly have been powerful people. This place
must have been destroyed long ago, TridenT thought, but perhaps if
she was back here defending it, the sword may still rest here as
well. Not only that, but TridenT knew that if one of his limited
number of old friends were defending something, he had better put
his best foot forward in helping her out. No sooner did TridenT stand up and reveal his physical presence to the other two men here, than he was attacked, by... something... fierce. Staggering back to a knee, TridenT felt merely a fraction of the powerful mental forces assaulting him, as SEPP glowed a red hue. Unaware that his spear could even do such a thing, TridenT felt that his only chance to recover himself would be to attack back. Grabbing a fistful of energy, he felt his left hand become wet as he struggled to maintain control over his own water magic. Knowing he wouldn't be able to do more than distract, he stood back up and let loose a short but pressurized burst of water at the person who remained quiet, as he had obviously been doing the attacking... --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| “No traveler would come upon another with their
sword drawn. There are no trails that lead here, only on the North
side does a trail lie. You seemed to have come from the west, and
with a hostile hand. Why have you come here. I demand an answer
now!” I didn’t trust him. He was hiding something from me, but what and why I couldn’t decipher. I had learned long ago to trust my instincts, they had never let me down and I knew beyond them that he had a motive. All had a motive, more so if they carried a sword. I stood there looking as though I could care less while I searched the area casually for the others I knew to be here. My sight seemed of little use to me at the moment so I decided to try to seek them out with my thoughts. Immediately I sensed a friend I had not seen in awhile. TridenT was approaching from behind my position. He was close, this I could tell, and I was glad to know that at least there would be an ally behind me and not a dagger to my back. Reaching out further I caught the ghost of a sensation of a presence that was here but not. It was strange, but there was no other way to describe it. The feelings were coming from somewhere behind the traveler. Before I could concentrate on this mystery a sense of growing power overwhelmed my thoughts then seemed to pierce my consciousness. A wave of energy throws my world into chaos as I feel like I’m struggling for understanding and clarity. Nauseous I fall to one knee, my head leaning downwards as I take in several deep breathes, straining to stay together. Slowly my thoughts congeal again, as I realize I have just been attacked by another with my similar power. Had I gotten too close to them and that is why they attacked? I was stunned but refused to be brought low. I tried again to seek out the presence and could sense nothing. My world had gone numb it seemed, I was blind to the world. Slowly I look up, directly at the traveler. My face contorted into a sneer. “A traveler taking a short cut you say? That was no mere traveler’s greeting. If you wanted a fight, you should have just said so, I’ll be happy to oblige.” With a sudden leap I spring before him, staff pulled out and extended. The screams of my ancestors seemed to call out to me, as I rushed this mysterious traveler. Two hands holding it I come directly at him aiming the tip of my staff towards his abdomen. Keeping what little defenses I have up in my head. I would not be caught unawares again. There was something going on, and now it seemed to involve me. |

| I could have, or rather would have, attacked my
own brother for his carelessness, if not for the immediate
circumstances. I was not getting a modicum of consideration in any
of this. Sword drawn. How many people walk around with their weapon
drawn? Guards do… What the hell is wrong with me making petty
excuses, I thought quickly to myself. Now I had everyone against me.
Some newcomer was happy to oblige me with an attack of his
own. The water blast hit me. Didn’t really phase me at all. I was just now soaked. Zev, from the thoughts that came to me from him, was amused by these events. I was sopping wet, water dripping from my nose, running down the length of my sword. It was amusing to look at, and the thought of Kristav laughing at me brought an ironic smile to my lips. But the smile was more than likely appeared grim to the other two here. The woman began to ramble on about something. My ears strained to take in the effect of her words, their portent, but then she leapt at me, a staff in hand, aimed at my stomach. Zev’s only thought was ‘how dare you strike a woman!’ I could have happily taken my fist and implanted it in his face as well, if it were not the all of this, which was his doing! I had no clue what the other man was doing now. Water, ice, neither had any effect on me. I was immune to those, as was Zev. But Zev kept informing me he was going to sit out and watch, unless it became apparent I was losing. I could have said wuss, but I knew Zev to be far more powerful than I. He wished to learn, so I guess some sort of lesson should be in order. I was annoyed, almost infuriated me, at the fact that without any actual conversation or explanations, the woman leapt at me. No one ever wished to talk things through anymore these days. It’s always action, action, action. Stupid children these days – or most likely children in comparison to my own age – was all I could think. I waited to the last second, a sense of annoyance and sever tiredness sweeping across my features. It looked as though I were stifling a yawn. Krypsokorph me the staff easily, parrying the staff to my right, allowing my left hand to come up and punch the woman in the side of the head, or that was my intent… |

| (OOC: Pardon my lateness. One; I've been very
busy, despite the fact this IS my winter break... my family doesn't
seem to notice. Business as usual. Two; I, for whatever dumb reason,
thought we were still waiting on Wolfgang. My bad. Three; I'm caught
up in all four types of distraction, near-simultaneously. I play
Metroid Prime, Megaman Zero, 007 Nightfire, and watch daily episodes
of Charmed. Anyway...) Somehow, TridenT had missed the silent man who had been standing motionless, and instead doused the other, slightly more talkative challenger to Kai's property. Noting, through his migrane-sized headache, that such a condensed blast of water did precisely nothing to this guy, TridenT figured some sort of protection was keeping water from harming him. No matter what it was, TridenT had other ways to fight. And, thankfully, the one that didn't seem to work was the only one relying on his mental concentration. For whatever reason, the blast that hit him still left him woozy, and the wandering spearfighter simply couldn't get a bead on anything. As Kai attacked the drenched, but unfazed, man, TridenT put together some of his other senses and charged as well, twirling SEPP around him quickly before striking the ground with the butt end of the godly spear and flinging himself, feet first, at the enemy of his friend. --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| My mind was betraying me with a battle within
my skull. The pain there seemed to engulf my perceptions of the
world. I had not expected that kind of power, and I was paying the
price for my carelessness. My temper was another weakness I had to
work on. Never would I let any get the better of me without first
earning it. The attack on my senses was cowardly and needed to be
dealt with. I was no mere human easily dominated and controlled, I
was of a stronger will than that. Aiming for his abdomen I encounter his sword. Good, he was quick, I held only pity for any person that was not an agile fighter. As my sword is pushed towards the left I follow the direction as I drop and bring the right end of the staff down. Without the slightest hesitation, standing I bring my staff straight up at an angle, the right end aimed for his upper body and head as I see him throw his left punch. It was like a dance to me, always moving, adapting, reading your partner’s motions had become instinctive with me. That only added to my natural quickness and agility. Droplets of water seemed to baptize me as we moved. I hadn’t realized he was soaking until now. TridenT must have attacked when I had been struck with that mind attack. I was not happy that something as simple as this had been overlooked by me. I needed to pay more attention to the details. I had no clue who I was up against. He had so far avoided most of my questions and answered a sparse few, and those only with cryptic and concealing responses. Again my head raced with reasons why he was here, but doing so increased the throbbing in my skull. For now it would seem the answers would have to wait. He did not seem ready to give a direct answer, and I was too addled to formulate a way to get the information out of him. “I ask you again. Who are you and why have you come here?” |

| I was too busy to think, then again, when did I
think? I would have, could have answered, if it were not for the
other man deciding to fling himself so lovingly at my back, hoping
to impale me with a single attack. My punch missed, nothing major,
but the woman’s staff was coming up fast. I’d only be able to
deflect that attack, and I still had the jerk coming in at my back.
Didn’t people know that two on one was unfair? Oh well. People just
loved having threesomes with me, or just plain ganging up on me. I
hated revealing tactics, let alone hidden weapons, so early on. But
it was a question of pride, keep the weapons hidden, take a hit and
maybe ruin your ‘perfect’ complexion, or reveal the weapon and have
your opponent become more cautious. I decided it would be best to
show ‘my true power!’ Worst pickup line ever. I flexed the muscles in my left arm. A blade shot out from my gauntlet, meeting the end of the woman’s staff with ease, and I brought my arm in a loop, deflecting it. And this was my moment to shine! Should I squeal in glee, or just howl out a blood curdling battle cry? A long spike shot out of left elbow, another hidden weapon. It met the tip of the man’s spear or lance. I didn’t want to keep track of his weapons; he appeared to do a good enough job of that. As I deflected both the staff, I deflected the spear attack as well. Two birds with one stone? Now for the grand finale! I back-flipped. Nobody cares about a back flip. To jump in the air, arch your back, and land on your feet a couple feet away at best. But what happened next was amusing. My two opponents would run into each other, and would have to bring their weapons to bare to block each other’s attacks. Most hilarious; really it was, and my sudden laugh probably came out all wrong. Hysterical and loathing, as though I were some evil creature who got a rise out of killing. Didn’t all males get that? I brought Krypsokorph up into a defensive position, to protect myself of course. Zev had the luxury of being invisible at the moment. Of course who really wanted to see what my twin looked like, right? Now the questions. Who am I? Well, there’s a fun question. “I am the Reflection!” I say, bellowing out the answer. Oh I was so funny. I bellowed out an answer why I could have just replied normally. Since when was it normal to have a brother who freaks out at every person he sees and attacks him or her? Now, why have I come here? I didn’t want to answer that one. I didn’t need people knowing I was off to see some lord, least of all these people. Now I ‘sit back’ and wait for them to regain what composure they have, regroup, and press and attack again. (OOC: Trying for a more comical type of post.) |

| Being deflected away from a blatantly easy
attack didn't get TridenT's goat as much as he thought it would. The
simple fact that there was too many different ways for someone to
get out of a simple jump-dashing attack made it painfully obvious
that TridenT just wasn't trying hard enough. He was too distracted.
The mere idea that there could possibly be one of the two goals in
his hyperextended life right here in this crumbled city took all the
concentration out of his fighting. TridenT suddenly reawakened as he
came barreling towards his friend, who would soon do a very good job
of taking away his arm, if nothing were done. Squinting so slightly,
TridenT collided with Kai at full impact, and.. splashed. Becoming
nothing but water and soaking the winged lady top to bottom, TridenT
did his best to wash over, around and off of his ally's body, but
failed miserably. Recollecting himself, for the most part, TridenT
reformed his solid self a few feet behind the wet woman, grinning
sheepishly at his folly. "Um, you got a little me on ya there, sweetie... um, yeah..." --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| He caught my movements with ease it seemed.
Ease and delight as I notice he not only blocked me but TridenT’s
attack as well. The Reflection he called himself, and I caught in
his eyes a gleam of humor, what an odd reaction. The throb in my
head seemed to be lulling to a slight throbbing. I took a step back
as I try to make more sense of this person before me. In an instant he tossed his body into a back flip. It surprised me, until I seen TridenT coming directly at me full on at a dead speed. His aim had been for my opponent but was now heading straight at me. I raise my staff to block his thrust. As soon as his weapon touches mine it dissolves as does his whole form, momentarily stunning me as a wall of water crashes over my form. Sputtering I take to my knees in an effort to breathe, coughing into the ground. I hear rather than see TridenT reform a few feet behind me. His words held a note of regretful mirth in them. How could I not find the humor in this? With a smile at my lips I get up to one knee and smile at TridenT. “Indeed you do, try to be a bit neater next time.” With a sigh I stood and face this man, this reflection. I stood my ground, held ready my staff and released my initial anger. Calming myself into a focused tranquility I watched him closely. I honestly don’t know how it happened. I had not meant to engage this man without cause or at least an explanation for why he was here. And yet he seemed eager to harm, taunt and trespass with little to no regard to where he was. This man was the personification of why I hated mankind so much. They did as they pleased and held nothing sacred. “The Reflection? Such a proud answer for such a silly name.” Heh, let’s see how my bait would taste. How easily could the pride of a human be pierced so that it’s wounded? I knew well how much the Human’s valued their pride, sometimes above almost everything else. That was usually their biggest weakness, the one thing that would light the flames of their anger. I dug in and waited for him this time. |

| “Silly?” I start, arching an eyebrow I take a
step forward, and my image falters, dies, reappears. But I am no
longer me. I am the younger woman before me, not a human, but a
demon. Wings flared wide. And then, I fade, and reappear. Standing
as I had prior, my blade, my weapon, held at the ready. A lust
broils within me, churning wildly. Asking, begging, enticing to be
let forth. I was the barter, currently, but who knew what would
happen next. “Since when were the Reflection silly? A trifle, to be amused with? Do you enjoy taunting? To entice, to dominate? What is it that you taunt? A mere man, or something else entirely?” I say, but hold off for a moment. It would not do to press the advantage so early on. One could oft times use what one had at hand with no need for reinforcements. I would do just that, stave off the blood lust, keep it at bay for now, but if required, I would give into my darker nature, call forth the flowing tide of it, and use it as the weapon I had in my hand. “If I am silly, then what are you to be attributed to? Wretchedness? Do you require pity? Reverence? Oh, holy one of ages, I bow before your slothful nature of insolence!” I mock. My tone was mocking. Two could easily play at enticing. It was easy for one to do. And if she wished to entice anger from me, should would find calm. If she desired appeasement, she would find battle. All she had to do was be my contradiction. If she was anger, I was calm. Her bafflement, I knowledgeable. That was all it was, a contradiction, but much more. And so I would wait a moment. Choose and act. Wait and react. Those were my premises. And so I left the choice to her, for if she acted, I would react, but not with equal force, but more. I would prove that a mere Reflection can oft times be more powerful. And my glass would not shatter. It was flexible, and would sway with the motion of our dance. |

| Something about the man's posture didn't seem
right, TridenT thought as he regained his bearings and faced this...
woman? No, TridenT thought.. he must still have been confused, but
he could've sworn he'd just seen two of the same, firey-hearted lady
in one space. But no, he was wrong. Only half listening to the
stranger's words, he caught hint of a mockery in progress, and
through the words and the tone of voice came something else.
Something... subliminal. Not quite able to place the surge that came out of it, TridenT could only relate it to one of his own feelings. The unfettered rage that bubbled under the surface of the mockery nearly bowled TridenT's mind over, and simply trying to fathom what could make someone that bloodhungry hurt his mind. What's more, he then mulled over what kind of person could control such rage. Looking up at the man who still stood there, talking, TridenT couldn't help but feel funny about what lie in wait, especially if this battle were to escalate into transformations... TridenT shifted his gaze over to Kai, wondering how her winged form would frighten the mocking fool who challenged her. On second thought, TridenT didn't want to be forced to transform. For one, Posiedon was getting harder and harder to control, and for another, he wasn't entirely sure if even the wrath of a Greek god would do the trick, especially against one whom water holds no power over. Finally, he decided on a plan. He would watch. Perhaps Kai could fend this guy off on her own. TridenT thought if nobody needed him or noticed him, he could possibly slip off to see about the sword that awaited him in this city's ruins... somewhere. --- ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| Before me he stepped and in an instant become
a towering likeness to myself, my true self. I could but stare at my
form. I had never truly seen how others might perceive this figure
unleashed. Was I that menacing to look at? I hadn’t seen my form
since my brother had died before this. With complete awe I felt my
hand reach up to touch this image, the need in me great, and yet I
knew not why I would want to do such a thing. As my hand neared the
image melted away and he was standing where my likeness had once
been. I lowered my hand and listened to his taunts. The image was still with me. Was I truly a monster. I felt something inside me shudder at who I had become. Bastian came to my thoughts as the young boy I was moments before dwelling upon. He was the last person in this world to show me love and he was now gone. Had his death twisted me into that creature? I couldn’t think on it. There were too many memories in this city. As deserted and destroyed as it was to many I still saw the home I once had.. The people going about their daily lives. The sweet wind as it blew through the trees as I laughed with my brother. I thought I would have a moment to myself, but it seems even this was not to be. The world was filled with people who’s one goal was to destroy and harm, conquer and dominate. Why would now be any different. I was still taken aback by his lengthy speech. Looking up at the man before me, I was slowly coming to the present when I heard him mocking me. Did I require pity...that struck a chord in me. He hadn’t uttered a word, had in fact grudgingly seemed to call himself the reflection. With this sudden barrage of verbal diatribe and the painful flashes of my memories I stood my ground trying to bring my thoughts back to one focused goal. The ache in my head was still there, and each word felt like a physical blow. I could not tell what TridenT was doing behind me. I just hoped it didn’t involve me getting any more wetter than I already was. Feeling the cold of my staff I grasp it tighter, this the one thing that was now a part of my reality. I stood my ground as I gathered my energy into focus concentrating on only him. “You would now use your tongue to mock me? You may have my form down but you know nothing of who I am. Before you lies a pile of rocks to you, that which was once my homeland you now taint with your presence.” |

| I almost smiled at the word, tainted. I
could have laughed, almost did. It took much of my self-control to
keep myself from laughing. But the smile took hold my face, split my
lips in a ghastly scar of a grin. My ice-blue eyes starred out,
gouging at the woman, then the man. “Would you like to see this place further… tainted?” I asked, mockingly. It wouldn’t do to talk so much. I was a man of action, and knew that if I turned my back on both these people, they might attack. Best to take to the offensive and hope for the best. Then I had a thought. It was a thought of how I should proceed, how I should maneuver an attack. My grin grew wider. I steadied my blade, Krypsokorph, in right hand, letting the tip fall to the ground to strike it. It was a fool’s stance, but a good one, allowing me to defend myself from incoming attacks. I heard Zev almost laughing in my ears, though no sound erupted at all. He was laughing into my mind. He thought this was amusing, and was inquiring if all humans were like this? I thought back to him. No, not all are like this, just a few. His laugher increased, and he projected his laughter into the minds of the other two present. A vile laughter, one full of spite, and then it ceased. It was time. My left arm flew out, raising and pointing at an old pillar still standing, a remnant of the place that used to be here. The pillar began to shake, slide; rubble around dropped off its edges. It began to rise into the air as I exerted a mental control over it. “Lets see how much I can… taint this place,” I said with a sneer, then threw the pillar through the air with a telekinetic burst of energy into a half-collapsed building. The building fell inward upon itself easily. Dust flew out-ward, spreading like ravenous flames spreading through dry grass. And in the dust, I plucked several boulders from the ground, piece’s of old buildings, and flung them at the young woman and man. And as I flung it, I spoke, “Taint is everywhere! Embrace it!” |

| TridenT felt the laughter before he could
hear it, echoing in his mind, a manaical laugh that encompassed many
things evil. Along with this feeling, TridenT's watery clairvoyance
once more identified a second presence here, but far less distinct
than before. If there was someone else near this trespasser, he was
being very careful to keep all but his voice unnoticed. TridenT
almost wondered if the fourth party was even here with the attacking
telekinetic. It somehow seemed-- attacking
telekinetic?! TridenT saw a pillar of ancient ruin fly across the sky and slam into a building long since worn paper thin by the winds and rains. As the dust billowed out, TridenT's pondering mindframe was jolted back into the current situation, which mainly involved not being smashed into pulpy juice by large, flying rocks. Snapping into action, he was nearly too late right away, but managed to stab the first rock with SEPP, causing it to explode harmlessly away from him. Jumping nimbly into the air, he avoided the next rock while flipping. As he spun, he twisted mid-flight and smacked the rock with the godly spear like a baseball, sending it careening off towards the purveyor of the tainting. Landing swiftly, TridenT spun SEPP around a few more times, knocking away some other rocks that flung his way. --- "Clobbers KoN over the head with the accept your damned present hammer." - Heavyarms ~ †®¡Ð€ñ† ~ |

| It was obvious he now seen my homeland as my
weakness. His taunts and the destruction that he was pursuing were
proof of that. I hadn't noticed he was baiting me until he threw the
words back at me. His face held a sneer as cold and calculated as
any I had ever seen before. But there were periods where it seemed
his focus shifted, ever so slightly, to something or someone else. I
hadn't noticed it before, but there it was. Was it the other I had thought was here? The one I had felt near him before being attacked in a cowardly manner? The laugh in my head made me suspect my guess was true. The absolute enjoyment that laugh seemed to carry to me made the hairs at the small of my neck stand on end. It was not fear but a sense of malcontent and revelry at the expense of another's pain. The absolute sound of one who seems to care for nothing. As the sound receded from my mind till only a memory was left, I watched as the Reflection lifted his left hand before him. An energy was being used, of this I could finally tell. I could only assume that some of my own powers might be returning to my throbbing head. Hearing the something behind me I stare as a column flies across bringing more destruction to my homeland. As I stare I think to myself, why would someone come here and do this. There was no reason. They had come to my homeland and attacked me for no other reason than that I was perhaps in their way. Then the taunts to try to belittle me and now this destruction of a place they said he had said they were passing through. I wondered how much more destruction this evil pair, I knew for a fact there was a pair, would cause before this day was out. TridenT was well behind me and seemed to be taking care of the large stones that were flying behind us. With at least my back covered I turn to stare as he taunts yet again. "You may be a reflection of me in form, but a cheap copy to who I am. Honor runs in my veins, but time and time you have proven you know not what this is. Aye, you taint and now you destroy. Your goal is set and now so is mine." With a quick locking into my stance I give him a last look before I run towards him, my staff raised over my left shoulder, ready to strike, but not in the anticipated anger and blind fury as before had consumed me. No I flew towards him with a clear mind and a clear knowledge that he must be defeated. I felt my focus return. As I finally come before him I jump into the air and tuck into a balled position, flying over his head to land directly behind him facing his back, and without breaking a motion I strike at his left side. There were no more words I would waste on this one. None would matter, and I had no reason to taunt any further. I no longer needed a reason to attack. He had just given it to me. My past was my past, and there it would stay. This land was a pile of rubble, but like my brother's death I had not wanted to let go. My foolish childhood could not be preserved by this place so let it instead be the site of my finest hour or my final stand. |

| The one with the trident was dealing well with
the onslaught of flying projectiles. He would be a little occupied
with such, so wouldn’t be too much of a nuisance to me at the
moment. That was my initial response, though, and once my blast lost
cohesive force, the flying missiles would simply fall straight to
the ground in a lump sum allowed my other foe at the moment to
attack me. Until that moment, all I had yet to worry about in vast
quantities was the woman coming directly at me, seeming to evade
graciously the rocks that shot hither and yon in a most haphazard
collection. She dashed at me, monumental in this cloud of flying debris, and jumped. And then she was over and behind me. Why was it that people enjoyed attacking me from behind? Did they think my back was far easier to hit? Her form blocked the sun a moment, giving me another to think, to fabricate a set of tactics that would maybe give me a split second to react. Then I heard crunch gravel. That was not the sound I liked hearing. I turned to my right. Too late, her staff hit my squarely in the back. It wasn’t too forceful of a blast, but it did knock the wind from my lungs. As they heaved to inhale more oxygen, I turned my eyes on the woman. A small quiet smile played across my lips. And in that split second my eyes met hers. She wanted me gone, wanted me away from here, that I was truly trespassing. That I was breaking a law of long ago. And that she would never believe I word I put forth. Then this would have to be finished here and now. My left hand came under my right arm, barely seen in the maelstrom that I had created. Then, a telekinetic blast shot forth, hopefully propelling the woman up and away. I fully turned and leapt after her, sword held at the ready, my brother’s laughter at the whole escapade playing through my mind… |

| As TridenT clobbered the last of what seemed
to be the telekinetically powered rock shower, he turned once more
to face the strange fighter, who moved things with no force other
than his mind, only to see the dashing form of Kai, maneuvering
through the remaining rocks to perform feats of fury upon this
intriguing foe. Flipping above him, she did the one thing TridenT
had hoped for the most. As the Reflection turned, distracted away
from the wandering spearfighter, TridenT put away SEPP, holding it
by his side, where it transformed into a small pouch bound to his
waistband. TridenT drew a katana, one of a collection of fine weapons he collected over the world, but one of the pair he actually travelled with, and held it in his right hand. In his left, he channeled air energy, what little he could control, into the fist he had made. Gathering for as long as he could bear, TridenT hoped that the solo fight would continue a bit longer, so that he could finish the spell he wanted to cast... one not of his element. --- "Clobbers KoN over the head with the accept your damned present hammer." - Heavyarms {The nifty logo has been Mac-foiled. | I had landed a minor blow, but it still felt
good to know he was not without flaws. His gaze locked with mine and
I couldn't help but stare at how pristinely blue they were. They
seemed surreal and out of place with the rest of this warrior. For a
moment I wondered if I had caught a weariness in the confines of his
soul. A feeling trapped within the cold ice that were his eyes. And
then I noticed his smile, slight but there all the same. I was numb to my surroundings, the pain that I had experienced through my memories now a distant thought. No longer would there be a need for me to come to this land again. To come here again would now bring back memories of this moment with this man looking at me in this way. So lost in my thoughts once again I had not anticipated the force that was directed at me. I left the ground briefly but once in mid air I went with the force instead of fighting it. As I felt the force dissipate I performed a quick mid-air flip and landed on my feet just as he approached me. Ready for his attack I watched as he readied his sword, digging in my feet and preparing myself finally for what was to come. Too early on he had gotten the upper-hand on me. My focus had been flawed, emotional in many ways, but right now at this time I was back to myself again. Centered and ready for what was to come. My mind was clear, enough to now sense that there was indeed another near us. Was that laughter? No matter, I knew about him now, that was all that mattered. All I could do was watch and wait for his attack. |

| I watched as my foe flew through the air, the
currents parting with her movement as she performed a mid-air flip
so that she would land feet first instead of the other way around.
She was using the force blast to an advantage, something I hadn’t
seen done in a very long time, a great long time. A though occurred
to me, something I had used in that instant. It was a failed tactic,
because my foe at that time had expected it, but it was more so
because he was a master and I was not. Many resisted being thrown;
tried futilely to stop their flight, and thus the tactic worked well
against them because they attempted to stop their flight, and by
doing so, found it used against them. Those who used it to their
advantage would be at an advantage. This would prove a little more difficult now, but I had an idea. Zev, though, was becoming anxious for battle. His desire to be in the fray was almost overpowering my own thoughts. I had to inform him to be patient. He would most likely take on the other enemy, left behind me, especially if I was already preoccupied with this current foe. She landed, a small cloud of dust rising about her feet as they touched ground, and braced herself with against a probable onslaught from above. My feet touched down, a mere few feet from her. I left myself fall and slide in. I brought my right arm up, sword in hand, and pointed upward as I slide along the ground, to bring my blade and take a foot out. If this didn’t help, I could summersault up onto my feet and run a moment to turn and attack again. My slide continued, and I held my blade like a lance, hoping to ram my foe… |

| TridenT was amazed. For once, he'd been able
to sit still for a few moments in a duel without being the target of
afterthought attacks or vile glances. It felt like a treat. TridenT
felt his power reach a maximum, and as his hand gathered the power
to bursting, he willed it to hold still for a moment. Suddenly,
without warning of any kind, he jumped fairly high into the air. As
he reached the peak of his jump, he squeezed his eyes shut, and the
moisture in the air reacted by squeezing tight around him, holding
him in place high above the fight below. Utilizing his control over
water, TridenT moved a dark cloud into place above the scenery,
fading away the sky into a shady grey hue. TridenT then threw his katana forward into the air, and when it flipped over and pointed at the ground, he grasped it in a moist, invisible grip. Finally, he thrust his left hand into the air, opening it and pointing his palm at the cloud above. The magic within poured out into the cloud, and almost an instant later, lightning crashed back down. The electricity fueled by magic channeled into the metallic pointer, covered in water, which conducted several dozen lightning bolts into one massive bolt, which arced downward in the direction of TridenT's foe, disintegrating the sword in the process. --- "It's absolutely stupid that we live without an ozone layer. | The adrenaline in my system was rushing
through me like wildfire across a dry plain. This is what I loved
most about what I did. The absolute rush of heightened awareness,
the sense of being one with yourself and your surroundings, it was
almost intoxicating. As quickly as I heard the laughter in my head I blocked it out. Where ever he was he was not my concern at the moment. I knew the Reflection, as that was all I knew to call him by, had not expected me to use his attack to my advantage so easily. I knew he had wanted to stun me at least with that blow, I just hoped that his surprise, if any, would prove to be an advantage to me in the next instant. Without any visual deference he landed and angled himself in so that he was quickly sliding at me with his sword aimed for my abdomen. He was quick it seemed, which added to my euphoria. Sliding towards me I notice out the corner of my eye TridenT spring into the air. I could only wonder what he was up to, but that would have to wait. Timing was everything, and my slight distraction caused me a piece of it I was not ready to lose. With a slight hesitation I jump towards the right, away from the sword pointed at me but the point of the blade catches my upper left thigh as I jump. Before I land I retract my staff, tuck and then roll out of the way, springing back up with my back towards where my opponent surely stood now. Spinning around I felt the slight sting in my left leg. No time to worry about that right now, I had to maintain my head. He was good ten feet away from me as I turned to stare at him again. He was as quick as me and quite agile from what I could tell. I knew one thing for sure now. He was no mere human. None I had ever faced could have moved so easily nor reacted so quickly. It just wasn't in them to adapt so well. No, he was more than a human, but what he was I did not know, but I knew I was dealing with something new. A being I had never encountered before, but why then did he look so human? "Who are you? You are no mere Human, of that I am sure." |

| The ground grated against my side, Krypsokorph
held upward like a lance. I aimed directly at her abdomen, but she
jumped. In turn, I angled my blade thus to at least take her
somehow. Then, in a split instant, my blade ran across her leg,
drawing blood, quickly. I somersaulted from my slide onto feet, and
dashed a couple feet away, distancing myself from my target. I
turned, to see her standing, probably wincing in pain from the
strike. I stood straight, not bothering to dust myself off. I
smiled, and easy smile, one that said ‘hello, how are you?’ And then
she asked me what I was. “As I have told you, I am the Reflection,” I said my smile subsiding. The air began to feel wrong. Something was wrong with everything. There was a whole negative feeling to the air. Wind was becoming strong, winds that shouldn’t be. The hair on my head lifted into the air slightly, and I knew it was a negative charge. Only such a thing did this so: lightning. I looked up in time to see a single sword hovering, charged. Damn! I thought to myself, and brought Krypsokorph up, the blades color shifting to that of a green tone. And then the sword disintegrated and a flash of yellow light flew out at me. That was what the other foe had been up to, charging and attack against me. My blade me the lightning strike, but the strike was too much for the blade to handle, as it had been a while since its elemental properties had been called upon. Small singes of the electrical impulses overran the blade, leapt into my body. Krypsokorph began to drain the problem, but the damage had been done. I now stood, frozen; the only movement I had left was that of my eyes, and my mind. I stared at the woman, and a single thought leapt into my mind: “Take the man, now!” *** Zev sat, watching the whole of the battle. Watched as a mere lightning bolt took down his twin. He had to remind himself of the constant elemental differences between himself and his brother. And then the time came: “Take the man, now!” It was exactly what Zev wanted to hear. He flexed several muscles, and drew his own blade from right shoulder, Krygorph. His body shimmered into view, a deep green in comparison to his brother’s light blue. His eyes, too, were of a different color, a wondrous jade green. Zev crouched low, finding his victim instantly, hovering in the air, and leapt at him. Zev rushed through the air, shoulder lowered, and caught a flash of light off the reflective surface of his blade, a light that now acted like both a warning beacon but also an announcement: the Reflection was not alone. Zev brought his left-hand forward, two fingers raised, with his sword held in right hand at an angle beside his head. Air flowed around his body, and he let lose a brutal cry, designed to make a foe shiver in fear. His blade was not a split second from taking the man in the back of the neck… |

| As the lightning blast connected on target,
TridenT felt a wash of relief that all his gathered energy hadn't
been wasted on a missed strike. As yet, he'd found no good way to
control or handle air energy, and making the lightning at the cost
of a sword was starting to take it's toll on his collection of
valuable antiquites. Allowing a few seconds' rest in midair, TridenT
suddenly jerked to attention as he caught a glimpse of the person
he'd just bolted into next week flying at him, sword drawn. His only
true warning was a flash of light, reflected off the sword, and as
the man approached rapidly, TridenT had a rare flash of magical
clairvoyance. Suddenly, it made sense. The second person. The voice in TridenT's head, ever since the man calling itself the Reflection appeared. A twin. As soon as TridenT put the pieces together, though, the one with the similarly-colored garb to his own was merely feet away, and slicing. TridenT reached behind him, with his left hand, to his shoulder sheathes, and grabbed his other katana. As soon as he had raised it two inches, the metal connected, a spark flew, and TridenT's neck was saved a severe severance. Before anything else could be done, though, TridenT let go of the grip he held on himself with the air's moisture, and let himself fall to the ground. As he did so, he finished drawing the katana and then pointed his right hand upward, at the airborne twin, and then cringed. From his outstretched palm, a massive burst of water sprang forth, rocketing towards the fighter with insane speed, like a fire hydrant being opened in front of him. The blast sent TridenT plummeting the remaining ten feet or so to the ground, smashing him against it back first, and there he lay, firing water into the air. --- ~Please beware: TridenT now travels with his alter-egos.~ Pd: Yarrr, mateys! | The Reflection was all he would repeat to me.
I don't even know why I bothered to ask, and the fact that I was
taken by his speed was something I needed to keep to myself. His
smile was overplayed and starting to annoy me. I wasn't sure which
bothered me more, his constant referral to being the Reflection or
that smile. Stomping my cut leg into the ground I gritted my teeth at the pain, letting it fuel me for whatever was next to come from him. Watching I noticed his smile seem to melt away slowly as he looked to the sky. I had been so preoccupied with him I hadn't noticed the change in the sky. The sun had vanished and the land was overcast with a heavy gray cover of clouds. The hairs on the back of my neck seemed to come alive as a bolt of energy came down around my foe. As far back as I was I still felt a surging bolt from it's electrical field. The force of it striking knocked me down but I was alright otherwise. That was too close. Any closer might have spelled disaster for me. I had yet to be struck by lightning and this energy disturbed me. Getting up I looked to see how my opponent faired I noticed that he seemed immobile, but his eyes seemed to blaze with knowledge. In a flash I felt a thought screaming out. It was his thought, he was sending the other out to attack TridenT. He hadn't hidden that thought that well, I wondered if he was in a panic as I dropped my staff and reached with both hands for my fans. Turning as I did so I brought them together into a disc where together they held the powers of fire and ice. Locating TridenT quickly I felt rather than saw the other leap forward towards where TridenT hovered. Hoping for the best I send my disc just over TridenT's shoulder assuming he would move out of the way of this new threat's attack. I was hoping to catch him in someway while avoiding TridenT. I could only hope my aim was true and my mark found. |

| I stood there, frozen in place, my nervous
system slightly overloaded due to the electrical overcharging of it.
So, I stood, motionless, and yet my opponent didn’t attack. No, she
took a single look at me, and turned for my brother. I watched her
put something together, a disk. Her intent must be Zev. She thought
I was immobile for good. Not so, I could already feel my fingers
tingling. Soon enough, I would regain movement. My initial thought
was what the disk my opponent was assembling might be. She was
planning something, and then, I knew what. She arced her arm and
threw the disk, letting it sail in at Zev. I had mere moments to
think of something. *** Krygorph connected with a partly sheathed katana. Zev scowled. That was not a part of the plan, he was supposed to take this foe down in a single swoop. Wolfgang had been making this look difficult, and now Zev knew why, because it wasn’t as easy as he had initially thought. Well, at least he had done something. Bright sparks flew with the interception of the attack, and Zev’s scowl became a deep frown, and he yelled out an angry roar, only to watch as his foe began to drop, falling down to the ground. Zev was losing what energy was keeping him in the air, as most had been spent, and then Zev too was falling. A stream of water erupted from the hand of Zev’s foe, a blinding geyser broiling forth. This just angered Zev further. Flames burst out all over his body, drying him instantly. He flipped mid-air, directing his feet first, sword held point down. He would take this foe. The fire surrounding him burned stronger, bright, being fueled by Zev’s own anger. The water was beginning to evaporate before even touching him. Flames licked upward more and more. An instant left, that was it, and Zev would take this man. *** I watched now, as the disk flew, and both brother and foe began to fall downward. Not exactly what I had expected. I had a moment to react. I gave the disk a mental shove, hoping to send it awry, while at the same time, sending a similar mental shove at the female, to throw her. So what if she used it to land on her feet, it would mean she couldn’t get to me as quickly, and give me far more time to come out of my current immobile state. I could feel Zev’s anger now, too. Burning into my mind, wondering how this fighting was actually difficult. He had much to learn, as did the other two here… |

| As TridenT finished his watery blast, he
noticed the fire of his newest foe, and as it descended upon him,
TridenT felt a tug in his mind, and he realized he was being
forewarned of some danger. Suddenly, he saw how dangerously close
his attacker was, and TridenT exploded. Completely evaporating into
the air, he became a misty cloud of water vapor which flowed up
around the incinerating flames, whose owner descended right through
TridenT's rising form. As soon as the two bodies had passed one
another, TridenT pulled himself back together as flesh and bone once
more, and dropped at his opponent's back, katana turned in a
downward stab similar to that of his foe. --- ~Please beware: TridenT now travels with his alter-egos.~ Pd: Yarrr, mateys! PK: Shut up, old man. |

| Damn him! I thought as I was a wave of mental energy struck me from behind. Careless fool I was. The forced pushed me, knocking me to the ground. Looking up I see that my disc had also been skewed from it's destination. In a wild arch it seemed to be heading directly in an upwards angle. Not a good thing, for when it came back, the speed would be hard to compensate for. Then a thought struck me. Heh, he seemed to like him mental powers well enough. I wonder how he would feel being the recipient of similar attacks. I could no longer worry about TridenT. He would take care of himself in the end. He always did. Right now I needed to show this Reflection, I smiled at my thoughts, that he was not invincible. Turning towards my opponent I noticed my staff before me on the ground. In a heartbeat I made my decision as I watched the disc near it's end and begin it's journey back to my hands. Reaching out with my own mind I decided a last minute distraction would be in order. This would be tricky, and if it worked I might get a few moments to act. As the disc came closer to it's final destination I adjusted it's trajectory giving it a new target.Grabbing my staff with my mind I send it towards the back of my foe's knees. A hard sweep, enough to send him to his knees if the motion was allowed. At the same time it seemed my disc was nearing it's end, but it was at such an angle now that the arch it made would end at a horizontal speed. Ducking the disc entirely I let it continue towards the Reflection. It's aim was his chest if he landed on his knees. If not, then his legs may suffer the strike. He had my staff, now he would feel my double edge. Taking in a deep breath I realized I had been holding mine in this entire time. Gaining my feet I decide to get back close to him again. I was quick, and if I could make it to him just after the disc did it's part I may have a chance of catching him off guard. Readying my fist I ran towards him ready to strike my own physical blow. This day had gone from bad to worse. Why were people always ready to fight? I had no time for this, and yet this pair seemed eager to challenge me for the sake of what? Entertainment, boredom, or maybe it was pure ego. It had no point to it, and yet it was definitely not a pointless match. TridenT I hoped was fairing better than I. I thought again of my friend. If I were to mortally fall here would he ever know the truth? Would he come at all, or decide I probably went my own way and we may meet up at some other point. My thoughts were again jumbled by feelings of despair and doubt. I was already late in my returning. I could only wonder if he noticed at all. This fight I felt was far from over, and I had a dark sense that this was only the tip of what my opponent could do. |

| Zev felt his opponent, could feel his mind, his
intentions, desires. He watched as his foe all but disappeared. A
burst of water vapor went around him, through the thinning drops of
water that fell from his foes previous attack, water that couldn’t
soak Zev simply because he was burning with an intense fire, a fire
that was still burning brightly. Though Zev could sense the presence
no longer in front of him, he could feel that presence passing by,
and then behind. Zev was beginning to hate his opponent. He wondered what would be a particularly good tactic to use to take this guy down. Only one way to find out. With a kick of his right leg, Zev spun himself in midair, his weapon, Krygorph, coming up to point directly at his dematerializing foe. His back collided with the ground in a deafening thud, the wind exiting Zev’s body, flying out in a swift rush. He didn’t notice the pain, only his opponent dropping in toward him, and he felt envious of his brother. His brother had it easy, or that was what Zev though. Shing! Katana and sword collided in a resounding squeal of discomfiture, and Zev thrust his sword upward and to the right, forcing his foes weapon in the same direction. Zev’s left arm came up, a growth of bone in the shape of a spike sliding out of the top of his wrist, aimed for his foes throat… *** My arms tingled now; my whole upper body being ravaged by a searing sensation as my motor skills came back to me. It was good timing, as well, as I had both my own opponents’ weapons to now deal with. I no longer smiled, there was no reason to, not now, but I would now have to step things up a notch and she these creatures why my species was feared in our home universe. I watched as my opponent flung her staff at me, but not just that, her disk as well. This would not bode well, unless I altered both courses with my mind again. What I needed was Zev to throw in a burst of mental energy to hinder both again so that they would be slightly thrown off guard, which would give enough time to try something. I didn’t have full control of my legs yet, but my arms were now moving in a flurry of motions. I held my left arm forward; two forefingers extended, with my right arm, sword in hand, held close to my chest now. It was a warm-up that would aid me; it would also speed up the recovery time needed for my legs to regain their impeded motion. The staff hit the back of my legs. I let it, and as it struck in at the back of my knees, I let my self drop onto my knees, both lessening the blow, while capturing, my opponents staff in the same motion. Next came the disk. My sword came up and the tip of the weapon touched the disk, forcing it into a downward arc to collide with the ground causing a loud ping and dust to fly everywhere. My legs now fully tingled, and the burning sensation was a pleasant one. I didn’t smile, but looked directly at my opponent. I stood on my legs as they came fully under my control again, and let out a brutal howl, a howl that was soon echoed by Zev. And as I screamed out, my body began to grow in mass and size. I grew several inches more, until I stood seven feet tall. My face lengthened, nose and mouth becoming a snout with fangs. My arms bristled with a dark brown fur, and a silver main surrounded my neck. My clothes stretched to hold my expanded form, and I drew back the edges of hackles into an imitation of a grin. I barked out several times, and then, the ground broke apart. Dust whirled into the air, flying everywhere, surrounding me in a sandstorm that spread out-ward encompassing both brother and foes alike. Now, none would be able to see, but my brother and I could smell. Now the true hunt began… |

| As he dropped onto his foe, TridenT wondered
briefly about Kai's situation. What could she have been doing to
arouse such a powerful foe (or pair of foes, as it now seemed)?
TridenT now thought about the possibility that he would have to
retreat from this ruin and find his way here again sometime to look
for the lost sword of Hedas, god of the underworld. No more time for
pondering remained, though, as swords clashed, and TridenT was
forced to his left. TridenT's trajectory changed, and he spun from the hit as he fell the remaining way to the ground. Letting go of his katana with his right hand, he spun around so that as he hit the ground on his opponent's right side, TridenT's left arm, and his katana, would stretch out and lop off the man's neck, or at least cut him deep into the ground. As he spun, though, a sharp tinge crackled across the back of his own neck, as the bone spur slash missed luckily and carved a small gash across the back of TridenT's head. A shiver would've erupted down his spine had it not been for the adrenaline pumping through his veins, as he was not a fan of feeling his own blood trickle down his neck. He continued his move, however, spinning and laying his arm out for hard contact. |

| I had risen up and followed quickly behind my
fans as they sailed past. He had fallen to his knees and the disc
was closing in on him. I tried to reach out for my staff with my
left hand, but he had it secured at his knees. My hand was still raised as I watched him bring down my disc easily as he gained his movement back. I hadn't expected it to last too long, but I did think he would have more trouble shaking out of it. His gaze was leveled with my own and I had a feeling he was ready to show me more. I slowed my approach till I was a mere few feet before him and stood in wonder as he rose up. With a howl he began shifting, changing into something else. I could hear the other's call as well, echoing his own. I wondered if the other would do as the one before me would. Larger he grew, he was already much taller than me, now he hovered over me, I felt miniscule. I watched as his his skin disappeared to be covered in a brown fur except around his neck where Silver fur adorned him. A wolf like creature stood before me, and I was amazed. Was this what it was like to see another transform? It was incredible and frightening at the same time, although I had no true fear of him, yet. I hadn't seen it before, had vainly thought I was the only one, but now I had witnessed it. My momentary shock was swept away by the beast's snarling grimace. With another try I reached for my staff which laid behind the creature. Reaching with both hands I made the staff raise directly up in the horizontal position and come directly to me, sweeping directly at the Reflection's legs simultaneously. I was not ready to show all my cards as of yet. He knew of my form, but I would not give over to that side of my soul yet. I wanted to see just how agile he was compared to me. My agility and speed were strong, but would it be strong enough to weaken my opponent before I had a chance to transform? As he barked I had raised my staff and felt the ground shake, sending dust up and through the area. It seemed to center around him in a funnel that started to stretch out a surround my world. Smiling I closed my eyes. Well this would be interesting. Blind fighting had always been my thing. And this cloud of debris may hider my hearing, but my sense were of a keen make. Unless he was planning on hitting me with a magical attack I would not be hindered too greatly. But I wouldn't let him know of this. Let him think me weakened. It would only help me in the end. It seemed I had another card up my sleeve that my opponent may have thought would hinder me. I brought one of my hands up taking a few steps back as I lowered my head to breathe easier in the flying dust storm I found myself in. This was becoming more and more interesting with each moment |

| Zev attacked with his right arm outstretched,
weapon in hand. His spike had drawn blood, but not enough. His foe
was rolling away, and trying to do slash attacks. His roll would
impede any modes of attack. Zev kicked out his legs, flinging his
body to his feet, only to find a whirlwind of dust surround himself
and his opponent, obscuring everything from view. Damn Wolfgang!
This would create problems, but in the corner of his mind, Zev
thought he heard his brother telling him to smell his foe
out. Zev gave a low growl, but inhaling through his nose slightly, picked up the scent of his opponent. While Zev didn’t have the same telekinetic powers his brother had, he made up for it in telepathic powers, powers that would be put to use in a moment’s notice. But for now, Zev readied his arm, pointing it in the direction of his current opponent, or where he had last been. Fire burst forth from his left hand, flashing out in a long stream, igniting wooded debris in the air, turning the maelstrom of dust into one of blazing inferno. His opponent would soon be singed… *** I could smell her. I narrowed my ice-blue eyes to slits. She was in front of me and I vaguely remembered having her staff brush heavily against my lower legs. This opponent was an odd one, and if we came into an enclosed space, things might prove a little better. The ruins, now obscured by the maelstrom of dust and debris, would present a problem navigating fallen objects. I would have to drop it to obtain some sort of attacking stance. My mind whirled as I thought. I held Gunguire up, and barely seeing the blade before me, watched as the hue changed from gray to a light green. I held my weapon in both hands parallel to eye level, with tip pointed forward. Small shades of light burst through my whirlwind of sands, catching and glinting off my blade. I squinted my eyes till they were shut, small beads of water exiting the edges from my lids compressing so tightly. I looked out-ward with minds eye, searching out objects, feeling fallen pillars, half-collapsed buildings, and finding my opponent. A tight-lipped smile spread across my muzzle, and I bared fangs. It wouldn’t be easy, no, but it was a thought. If she couldn’t see it coming, then a possible strike could very well end the whole of the battle once and for all. I howled, loudly, letting a wave of rage escape my lips as my entire body extended into the brutal scream. And then, I leapt into the air, my legs bursting out from underneath me to propel myself upward. And as I rose I twisted, my right arm extending outward, until from the blade, a barely visible line of green energy erupted, flying forth in a straight line to the ground. This would either destroy what home she had left, or her. I quickly warned my brother of what I did, and then, in the heart of the maelstrom, saw the tinges of fire radiating throughout. It was no longer dust, but a firestorm, spreading out-ward in all directions. This would postpone, or speed up, any parley. I could only hope for the best at this moment. My brother had received my message, but what he did with the information was his own. I fell, and could feel with my mind the energy as it sped toward my opponent in an all-encompassing, out-ward arc… |

| TridenT knew he was in trouble, as he rolled
away from the creature who seemed now more beast than man. He wasn't
entirely sure, but he could've sworn that as the twin attacking him
howled, he became... furrier. He would've looked again to be
certain, but suddenly a dust cloud arose from the ground and swirled
about rapidly. TridenT did not think this was a good thing for
anyone involved, and he decided defense would be a good strategy for
the moment. Ducking into a standing crouch, TridenT shut his eyes and sheathed his katana. Waving his arms about him in a pair of spherical motions, with his palms turned outward, he utilized nearby moisture and a fair deal of his own power to create an orb of water which surrounded him entirely. With a flick of his eyes, though, TridenT initiated a flashfrost, which instantly turned the orb into a globe of thick, absolute-zero temperature ice. A technique known only to magicians of water and unheard of by most men, this was a skill used since the dawn of magic to forge weapons, armor, or in this case, a globe of pure, solid-as-steel ice. Only a select few had ever seen such a feat, but since he was partly a water god, TridenT knew the technique as though he had invented it himself. In a moment of quiet among the storm, as sound was drained from within the globe, TridenT realized his poor shape. He had been using too much to accomplish too little. His water blasts, powerful as they were, did very little to these obviously fire-based foes. Only by lowering the temperature of his water could he ice over his firey opponents. He knew this would take more power, some of which he might not have later, depending on upcoming events. Fortunately, TridenT's ever-increasing power was making upcoming events not quite as mysterious as they used to be, although he couldn't predict the future just yet. Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted as the blue, crystaline light filtering through his icy hold turned red with flame, as fire washed through the debris swirling outside. TridenT reached into his vest and grasped the Coral Orb, which was a gift to him not too long ago that boosted his magical prowess nearly double his former limit. It also granted him abilities he didn't otherwise have using water, and he wondered if he should use it. The power would give him new shape, and if everyone outside was transforming into monsters, TridenT thought he might need a more powerful form, too. Not sure if he could keep it up without a nearby water source, though, TridenT released the orb, and closed his vest pocket. His ice shield was beginning to weaken. TridenT could feel the molecules moving faster, and he knew the top was melting under the intense wave of flame. He had to do something fast. Moving his hand to his hip, TridenT grabbed the small pouch and SEPP re-formed in his hand. Whatever was coming, he would be ready for it. |
